    I ordered a kit this morning for my 510 Sealand. This 2 year old video is the one I needed to see. Thanks!

    I just replaced the seal on the Dometic 210 in my 2007 Discovery. It was leaking and I finally decided to replace the seal after watching your video. When I removed the bowl I found that someone had installed the seal wrong, with the thick piece on the bottom and the thin piece on the top. I installed the new parts as you showed, and all seems to be good!!
    We are in the fourth of year living full time in our Discovery, no home other than the Discovery. Many things have needed to be repaired on our 16 year old coach, and TH-cam has been a lifesaver!!
    Thanks so much for your video!!

    I have to thank you so much for this video, after watching it I decided to take my toilet apart as in the video and clean everything including the seal which had calcium deposits around the rubber seal, I soaked the rubbers in CLR and then washed them with soapy water and then cleaned the rest of the mechanism, then reassembled and turned on the water and hey presto all is working well. Again many thanks for the very informative video. David.

      update. i just did this. the seal i had was an original part more than 16 years and nothing like this rubber junk which cost me a lot of effort to get centered. If you have a bad hand like me you will pbby need help because the plastic bracket things the ones that say front, are more difficult to put on . all and all not to difficult

    I was a problem installing the seal and when you read the instructions(which I didn't have) and you showed which part went on the bottom and once I saw that, I knew I had the seal in the wrong places. A quick removal and reversal of the seals and BINGO, the water was held in the bowl. Thanks for your video

    Thanks for making this video, it was just what i needed to learn. I just purchased my first rv and it has the same toilet.
    Can you tell me if i press down half way on the foot pedal...shouldn't the ball stay closed and allow me to fill the toilet with water to a level I prefer? Mine doesn't do this.

    • @FreedomChaser
      @FreedomChaser  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching. Yes, if you press the foot pedal down slightly, you should be able to have water come out without completely opening the ball so that water doesn't go down the hole. I'm not sure why yours is opening so much. Maybe try less pressure when stepping on the pedal?

    • @RobertBuddDwyer45
      @RobertBuddDwyer45 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried pressing less as you suggested but no luck. Looks like i will need to troubleshoot now that i know its not working properly. Thanks for responding.

      So I went ahead and purchased the Dometic brand ball seal kit and replacement ball kit and installed both, which solved the issue I was having, not being able to just fill water only. Hope this info will help someone else having the same issue.
