This performance might be a fluke, never to be repeated. Zimmerman's crystal clarity and Bernstein's interpretation are a gift to humanity. If I had to choose one piece of music over everything else in the world this might be it, but only this particular performance. I've heard others that don't come anywhere close. Even the recording was top notch.

Masterpiece itself. There's no doubt about it. Whenever I listen to this music, I have a feeling of serenity. It seems like that I swim in the universe.
To be honest, I didn't know Richard Stilgoe was a concert pianist. I'm new to all this classical business and just taking a tour around what's been recommended to me and thus far, this is absolutely top top of the tree. I can't believe this piece if music came from a single persons mind. Of course, the dedication and willingness and love of the musicians who play it still 200 years or so later...well it makes a dead hand trace a line down your spine until you shiver with watery-eyed joy.

The piano part to this piece is amazingly simple, almost comically so. Single notes or thirds and fourths accompanied to an Alberti Bass at times. One would not find such simplicity out of place in one of the easier sonatas by Mozart. And yet ... such powerful, transcendent beauty. I find myself asking each time, how did Beethoven do it, with so few notes? How? Unbelievable.
This is the most definitely the best music ever composedit touches every raw nerve and transports you to heaven with its devine sensitivity it levitated my sprit to another planet

To be honest, I didn't know Richard Stilgoe was a concert pianist.
I'm new to all this classical business and just taking a tour around what's been recommended to me and thus far, this is absolutely top top of the tree. I can't believe this piece if music came from a single persons mind. Of course, the dedication and willingness and love of the musicians who play it still 200 years or so later...well it makes a dead hand trace a line down your spine until you shiver with watery-eyed joy.

OHHHHHHH, YES, YES, VERY YES -- FASCINATINGT , DIVINE this BRILLIANTE HEAVENLY MUSIC.
The piano part to this piece is amazingly simple, almost comically so. Single notes or thirds and fourths accompanied to an Alberti Bass at times. One would not find such simplicity out of place in one of the easier sonatas by Mozart. And yet ... such powerful, transcendent beauty. I find myself asking each time, how did Beethoven do it, with so few notes? How? Unbelievable.
