Absolutely brilliant! I can listen to this all day and not get bored.. His lines is so beautifull everything is connected and crystal clear playing giving him space to make beautifull colours and harmonies.. I could cry only listen to this at home, and imagine watching this live!!! Beethoven u are a true Genius!
every now and then this great great thing lines up - 2 titans get something big exactly right - and the orchestra muscians get perfect too, and everything stops for a while - and i feel so imperfect yet happy to be alive. immortal performance.
If you are among those who are in no way moved by this musical piece of absolute perfection, you might find yourself placed into the proper category of those who are emotionally brain dead.
After on has listened to good music composed by Schubert, Chopin, Brahms and Tchaikovsky for instance, one always returns to Beethoven. (Mozart stands by the side of Beethoven). What is this effect created by Beethoven, when one feels ones soul to be cleansed and calmed by the beauty of his music? Petty everyday troubles vanish, harsh words lose their power. Zimerman is an exquisite pianist as well as director ( see him playing Beethoven's 2nd piano concerto). Such a light touch and balance.
Brilliant!! Bravo the great orchestra, bravo to this amazing pianist and bravo to this perfect conductor..But most of all Bravo to Beethoven because he gave us this masterpiece of music..
Wow! The combination of Bernstein and Zimerman, heard on an excellent headset is pure magic. I don't know why, but the third movement of any Beethoven piano concerto seems to have bell tones not heard in other composers' works.

My personal favorite concerto of all time. Zimerman & Bernstein nail the necessary "communication" between the piano and orchestra masterfully.

Fascínate, lo humanas que pueden llegar a ser las emociones que transmite beethoven a través de sus composiciones

the ending is so thrilling, it makes me want to jump up and cheer!!! And I love the impulsive hug at the end!
We are in front of one of most important mankind's genius ever for sure: Beethoven!!!!!!
This guy is good!!
He plays this so simple, but so beautiful.

He is the best living pianist!!!

Merveilleux..... Un ange

Thank you so much for posting this PERFECT interpretation. :)

Ja, das macht einen wirklich glücklich!!!
Absolutely lovely. By the way, Zimerman looks line an owl.
Zimerman is the best there is.
Thank you Ludwig von Beethoven and Krystian Zimerman!! What a legacy !!
What a powerful ending.
1:27 glitch in the matrix of perfection
2:37 volume high and Beethoven is sitting at the piano stool. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!!!!!!
Époustouflant
Wow!!!
Wow, so much more rhythmic control than Rubinstein in this interpretation.
Seems like almost all the pianism of Chopin is here in this concerto. Beethoven is just much more unforgiving.
Musique-spectacle grotesque.
Anyone notice a similarity between the theme found at 1:11 and his ode to joy theme from his 9th symphony?
2:25 That perfect chromatic scale,,,
What is happenig at 2.28? hahaha
Zimerman is brainstorming
Trop malade, il est trop fort le gars au piano
7:31
@casutal
There is good taste and bad taste. But I agree that saying something is "perfect" implies one is ignorant of other compositions.
who gave a tumb down?
se blocca

Reminds of Bukowski, no?
