Omg I jumped into my first crit race with minimal knowledge and training. I was in the last group the whole race and climbed back into 24th pace out of 60. It was so hard. Keep it up.👍🏽
Way to jump into Anwar! If u haven’t already I highly recommend looking into NorCal Cyclings TH-cam channel. He’s a P12 racer here in the Bay Area that deep dives into racing strategy/cycling techniques Anyways, keep at it and good luck with your future events!
Good video !..i just started too and hills are always the hardest..instead of long rides try finding a decent hill and take an hr and just go up and down it ...i think it works well to build that endurance..physically and mentally..
Damn, they're serious about checking you.. In SoCal, you just arrive, I"ve gotten my number by name, no showing ID, then gather, talk and race. I was personally shocked they didn't look up my photo ID, I could have had someone sub for me. Anyway, good job.. Its tough the first one, .... I got pulled from my first 3 races as I was the last guy.. lol.
Let's give mad love and support this guy👊🏽

It’s definitely a lot of fun though.
Great stuff mate!
Congrats on your first crit!
Thank you!
Hill sprint, lots of hill sprints will help your surging and closing gaps.
