Great video. I would liked to have a comparision with a tuned in Rook 2020 though. The layers are imho way more inconsistent on the Rook 2020 prints. The v0.2 prints are way better in this regard.
the look much closer in person, the benchies are basically the same. Because it was only printing at 5k and the models were small I did not use input shaper. Also my Rook 2020 MK2 has a 3D printing 80T gear for the gear reduction which does not help.
I come from a "The 100" build and I am very disappointed with it. Mostly because of the "best printer ever"-like marketing. Currently I'm disassembling it and want to build a Rook 2020 MK2. The first minute of this video already solidifies my decision, since you don't over hype your printer! Looking forward to the build!
Shit frame design, again the "we are the best marketing", "racking", no real electronics compartments, general shittier performance than the rook for the same price. Oh and bad configs
hello! I am very interested in your simple core 3D printer. I think we can emulate the voron trident for a relatively cheap price. By the way, do you know where the BOM for simple core is? We support your 3D printer.
I used to look to having either Prusa Mini or Voron 0.2 earlier, but when I was able to build the Rook 2020 and got it printing (and the serial), I dont look to have nor need Prusa nor Voron anymore.
Even in the US I haven't found a usable 0.2 kit for less than $350 USD with no printed parts or $425 USD with ABS parts. If anyone has a link for one cheaper than that, please let me know!
@@Rolohaun but is there even a need for an intro (for any youtuber)? A simple greeting already works well enough for the purpose of brand recognition, I think
I don't feel like a beginner is going to build their own printer anyway (except for rare cases) and In my opinion both machines are too small for practical use although they may be ideal for models and very small parts.
Previous toolhead had such nice, clean, sleek design. Current one is ugly, looks like cheap chinese design. It's too wide, disproportionate. Besides that, great work!
I definitely admire yor work. BUT! please make a summary of your videos. Really. I like you and your work. But watching through those loooooooonnng videos where you don't find an end talking about details is soo draining. Sorry to say that. But for people with not much time it would really be nice to have a summary and not watch through the whole video, which every time could be summarised in 5 mins maximum. Most of the time your videos can be summarised in 2 mins. Sorry man. If I wouldn't be interested in your conent, I just wouldn't care and not write this. But I am interested, but really can't watch your videos.
@@Rolohaun I would love to have an impact. When teaching students our professionals is always good to summarize and then bring details about the topics. Great comparison, whomever designed that rook is a smart man :)

what is wrong with The 100?

I will wait for 2024 model.
When was the Voron 0.2 kit at USD$180?!? I missed out...
while ago on aliexpress I think
Best I've seen was $238 a year ago from FYSETC for a v0.1. pretty crazy price 😅
I live in the US and I'd kill to know where I can find a voron 0.2 kit for $180. Please someone let me know!

seems sales at Christmas can be cheaper, might be rare though
@@Rolohaun It's definitely on my black Friday list for this year!
That $180 Vor0n 0.4 is definitely not on Aliexpress, Temu, or Banggood.
That was around d Christmas it was a flash sale or something
Ok. Cause your video was from 2 days ago. I like the content, but probably ought to update the video for accuracy. The Rook is awesome, btw. Thanks.
Dude, your intro is the visualization of what always happens to a default cube in blender 😂
Haha I have been thinking about a new intro

Hi. I visited your website and browse the 3d printer section. I came across the term "triple independent Z" . What is it mean exactly?
it has 3 stepper motors connected to individual stepper drivers so it can use Klipper Z tilt to level the bed
@@Rolohaun Klipper can control 3 drivers in sync and async mode?
@@petrescuadrian yes
@@Rolohaun With no lag?
@@petrescuadrian not sure what you mean, there is no need for z to be independent after the initial leveling with Z_tilt or Quad Gantry level,

To each there own, we have quite a few users on our discord were the Rook was there first printer
surly cant be first ...

All the toolheads still work, builders can use whatever they like
