Like watching a space train wreck, multiple heart breaks, my bestie Jack being the first victim is tragic! 😭 You energy on this was great lol and it's so crazy how bad it could all really go, make really getting to know your crew more meaningful because you can really put them is the best positions for their skills :D Amazing playthrough 😁and fantastic reaction to such a bad ending haha
Thanks for sharing this reaction. I’m sorry to hear about the troubles with the app. I’d highly recommend backing up your save game data often, then if the app has problems you at least can keep your play through going. I’m looking forward to ME3 but I also want to make sure it goes smoothly. Hopefully things all work out and we see it sooner rather than later.
just watching this is giving me anxiety! 😭😭 I'm such ocd completionist in games, I do everything, everyone personal missions, upgrade everything, do all sidequests, rack up XP.. so I generally dont see stuff like this in my game, but just knowing it exists as an option is horrible :( It's a testament to this game that no matter how many times you play it or see scenes from it you are always so emotionally invested in these characters!
I try not to save scum, but I think I’d have to reload. I fell in with love Jack too, love her so much 😭 (and am so upset FemShep couldn’t romance her).
Lost two of my squad mates during my first play-through of the Mission due to improper assignments. One of them was my love interest, so you can imagine 😑. Next day i just couldn't..I save scummed and replayed the whole Mission again in one session, this time paying much more attention and YES. i made it. 😀 I Didn't look up any guides or Bioware's flowchart (I knew about that later). From that day i became obsessed with Bioware and their Golden Era RPGs !!
Not just the ship must be upgraded but your team's weapons, armor and everything else as well. Also anyone who is not loyal in the final mission, will die. There is no way around it.
well now that you ask. Yes I did have something like this happen to me. I dont know why, maybe I was very dim like 17 years ago. but in ME 1 I killed Wrex almost eveytime. Not sure how >:( . And on the suicide mission I lost nearly everyone. Like 3 times in a row. Soo yeah. You could say I was very upset and looked up guides at the time :/ and for the space capsules, I dont think they got the bodies. I think they were memorial empty caskets.
Inquisition launches my EA app, I think you're correct unfortunately. Lol and Mass Effect 3 is brutal with the feelings (I cried like the whole time, even at ambient dialogue) Omg editing in what happened to me since you asked dkfjghjdfg I saved everyone except Miranda on my first playthrough, but in the final push back to the normandy after everything, Miranda was left behind on the ground. But I reloaded and managed to save her. I sided with Jack over her (ptsd girlies gotta stick together) and I didn't have the paragon/renegade to gain her loyalty back. But that didn't mean I wanted her DEAD. So I reloaded. idk how she lived the second time, but I was determined to bring everyone home. I was working at gamestop at the time and everyone was telling each other "upgrade the ship, always upgrade the ship." So I was lucky.
I wish they would've taken this "joke" ending one step further and actually let you save it and import it into ME3. It would've been a really funny easter egg sort of thing to see what happens without Shepard.
"I can't even imagine what choices you have to make to get that ending..." Most of them are fairly obvious, and you spotted the big ones: 1. Not upgrading the Normandy's armour, shields and main gun. 2. Not successfully completing the loyalty missions (or losing a squad mate's loyalty, for example by failing to broker peace in the conflicts between Miranda and Jack/ Tali and Legion). 3. Specific to this playthrough, Legion isn't present, so Shepard must have taken the option to hand him to Cerberus instead of recruiting him. 4. Allocating unsuitable/ not loyal squad mates to the specific tasks during the Suicide Mission itself, and sending no one (or a squad mate who isn't loyal) to escort Chakwas and the crew back to the Normandy. The less obvious choices (which always feel like cheats to me!) are: 5. Doing one or more missions after you acquire the Reaper IFF and before you launch the Suicide Mission (although there are exceptions, such as Legion's loyalty mission). Not a factor in this playthrough, but if you do choose to do extra missions, you can arrive and find half or all of the crew already dead/dying. 6. Taking the strongest squad mates with you to face the final Human/Reaper hybrid, thereby leaving a weakened team to hold the door behind you. (Although I don't think that was a factor in this playthrough, because there were so few squad mates left, the team holding the door would be weak whoever you chose!)
Something like this was my third playthrough, but I did it on purpose to see just how far it could go. It probably only took like about 8-10 hours to complete, no loyalty missions, no upgrades, just recruitment and main story missions the whole way. It looks like they didn't get Legion, since it's optional as to whether you recruit him or sell him to Cerberus. In terms of Mass Effect 3, a game that ends like this can't be imported in, since you were asking about it. At some point, I'll have to do a run to see what the worst possible importable ending looks like, but I have a lot of Dragon Age I've been doing lately. :)
I’d love to see what the worst possible outcome that you can carry over is! I actually tried to play through the Risky Mission Mod after seeing this, but ME2 just feels so buggy/glitchy that I just shut it down 😭
If I'm being brutally honest... I played ME2 first, because it was free once and a mate recommended it. I didn't upgrade everything. I don't think I got the armour plating or something. I ended up getting Tali and Jack killed. 😂 Realistically though, you can only fuck up this bad deliberately! It's nice that the devs scripted it though, knowing players would want to find out what would happen if played as badly as you possibly could! As for what happens in 3 if you try and import a save like this from 2, It'll basically just start as if you're playing just 3. So, 2 and 3 have pre-sets if you play them first, it'll have made choices for you. Ie, if you play 2 first and playa s Male Shep, Ashley will be the Virmire survivor, if you play Fem Shep, it'll be Kaiden etc.
@@_shhenanigans_ She can yeah. I'm not sure. I didn't have Kasumi, as I only had the base game when I first ever played through it. I didn't have Shadow Broker or any of the other DLCs either, so it was Tali in the engine room.
@@_shhenanigans_at least 7 characters can die due to the lack of shields and it’s in a order: if Kasumi’s recruited but not brought to deal with the oculus she’d die, if Kasumi wasn’t recruited or brought to deal with the oculus Legion’s there to die, if neither Kasumi or Legion is recruited or brought to deal with the oculus Tali’s there to die, if Tali’s brought to deal with the oculus and Kasumi and Legion are not recruited or is there then Thanes there, Garrus would be there too and I don’t know about the last 2
Thank you for sharing your reaction to this! Yeah the EA app is so bad which is crazy for such a big company. I'm sure you already tried everything so I'm sorry for unsolicited advice, but usually just force quitting it from the task manager and launching it again fixes the game or data missing bugs. Best of luck!

Yeah EA app is buggy. It one point it randomly just decided that the Library doesn't show any of the games i own and nothing could be downloaded (not even free to play games). It fixed itself a few days later. Never thought id miss Origin.

I send an un-loyal Mordin to escort the crew. ME3 re-casted the actor for some unknown reason. In my mind Mordin doesn't even exist in ME3, so I let him go down fighting.
I've heard that people can't tell the difference. Sometimes I wish I was one of them, but I could tell the second he spoke. If Mordin dies in ME3, he's replaced by Padok Wiks; Joker literally refers to him as not-Mordin. Personally, I think the guy who voiced him is closer to ME2 Mordin than ME3 Mordin could ever get.
Mordin was recasted because his ME2 voice actor was a garbage person behind the scenes, lol. It's the same reason his ME3 voice actor is always the one present at the conventions and fan events, and his ME2 voice actor pretends he never voiced the character.

Hey now... Joker's still alive.
this one is not sadest, cause dude even dont have Legion (sold to cerberus?)
Mass Effect 3: Joker's Revenge
If Shepard doesn't survive, you can't import that save file to a ME3 game.

I had issues with my EA app too. But my issues seem to be fixed now.
