Well until toyota figures out why there crank bearings are failing I'll have to take the tremor.
This is such an overblown issue. Toyota gets put in under a microscope for every little thing. Meanwhile Ford and GM continue to put out defective trucks and nobody bats an eye.
It's a fake engine noise pumped in the Tundra.
I read all of the Toyota Tundra bashing. They just came out with a new engine so of course it will have some issues but I can tell you that out of all of the Auto Brands. Toyota always figure things out when it comes to a new engine and then it's stays reliable for years. The other car brands are still having issues with their last and current engines. Issues that has never been resolved.
The front of that tundra looks like a storm troopers helmet. 😊
Tundra’s front grill looks so big but those are all plastics, tremor use hard solid aluminum metal from safety angle I choose tremor
The Tundra has better safety ratings than the Ford.
@@OldmanSnake not the tremor
That sharp edge screen sticking up in the tundra would drive me crazy. On another subject, i can't believe how many pedestrians and other drivers just assume other people are watching out for them!
Is the interior of the tundra cheap looking?? I heard many say that about its interior
There are a lot of people that have said it lacks the build quality and attention to detail that they expect from Toyota
@@Drg24800 so it must be true then.
The plastics are really cheap and some are poorly engineered. The plastic cover on the side of the seat crack so often that my dealer started stocking a bunch of them.
7:45 the person does not need to look. They are in a crosswalk. Curious why you compared the I-Force Max and not the I-Force?
For a vehicle marketed as an "off-road" option, it's baffling why the Tundra doesn't have recovery points or a straightened tailpipe. The low front clearance (does it even have a bash plate?) makes me wonder what the engineers were smoking when they decided this was the path forward. Absolutely would take the Tremor over this, because at least that one is designed for its proposed purpose.
Ford's bed lining an option,Toyota's 3" lift option🤔. i'l take the Tremor.thank you😁
I felt the ford seats were more comfortable but that’s me..
The tremor and platinum are on the same price level, mid 60's if those are compared and Toyota fixes the engine issues there's no comparison. Way more options on the platinum
Tremor enough said
8:00 Tundra makes peak torque earlier vs the ford. Its also an undersquared bore and stroke vs oversquared in the ecoboost. That ebing said i just realized this was the hybrid tundra, so yea way more torque
It’s also spins bearings and is recalled
Toyota needs put 35 inche tires on then it's looks better
I hear more recalls on the new tundra. So tremor wins
That Tundra's bed looks incredibly small. Narrow and not as deep. The Tundra's engine has so much grunt it would seem that the crankshaft bearings struggle to handle it. So many claimed the issue was limited to the first year. Then 2023's started failing. Now 2024's are failing. It's a big problem for Toyota. Resale values are going to reflect all the engine failures and lack of consumer confidence in the engine's reliability. I would go with the Tremor in match-up.
Why not compare the TRD pro to the tremor that’s more of a direct comparison.
Raptor vs TRD pro will be fair
The difference between the raptor and the trd pro is 6k, while the difference between the tremor and trd pro is 8k, I'd say the raptor is more fair to compare to the trd pro
Tremorrrrrrr 😊
The new Tundras look great don’t get me wrong, but I almost feel like they took a step back from the last generation in “truck terms”
I own a 2018 Toyota Tundra. Love the truck but it lacks storage space and functionality. Tech is good (I can live with it), but wish it had more innovation in their trucks. If you asked me to between the Toyota or Ford...I would keep my V8 Tundra.
Ok but the tremor is far superior and just as reliable
Tundra
Tremor!! Ford has solved the cam phaser issues with the new gen 3.5. Will go a long way. Toyota is not what it used to be. Reliability at a generous cost. Now = premium cost + subpar reliability
Tundras Engine recalled, pretty much all22,23,24 are potential to fail even if they are included in the recall or NOT, would you take a chance in buying one now? Hells no. Engine debris is a lame excuse, I bet it is something else.
The only issue with the new Tremors is the front end. Ford ruined the look, just like they did with the new super duties.
It’s hard for me believe that someone will go off roading with a $70,000 vehicle, I could see some buyers going down a rough dirt road. Too many bells and whistles to take off roading, for towing or camping ok.
I take my 402A off road. Why else would you buy an off-road truck?
Most who buy either truck will only “haul” golf clubs and groceries, and the only approach angle will be the speed bumps in the mall parking lot, lol.
@@waynenoll1967
Oh look, it’s this stupid comment
I take mine off road it is fun
I can understand what you're saying, but on the other hand these are trucks, so they should be able to handle it, unlike a car.
I’ve had fords with ecoboost engines and my experience was not good. Also had Forda with good ol V8s and they were very reliable. Never owned a Tundra but we all know about the legendary V8 reliability of the previous generation 5.7L (fuel economy notwithstanding). We can’t say the same with the 3.4L turbo V6. From what I’m seeing it’s complete garbage. It’s also unfortunate that almost all new trucks seem to have gremlins these days. Add in the cost and no way I’d buy one if I needed a pickup again. I’d probably look for a previous gen Tundra if I wanted a pickup truck.
your assumption isn't in line with reality. Toyota isn't the most reliable maker at the moment.
blame the emissions regulators for forcing OEMs to make smaller, less reliable engines
Yep. The only truck that still has pretty good reliability is the Titan which you can get a pretty good deal on right now.
@@JoseDiaz-qw7mg Exactly! Green new deal BS.
@@davidporter7051 What are you talking about? That's what he said. He said the new twin turbo v6 is garbage compared to the old v8.
Ford
Ford forever 🇺🇸
You forgot this one: 🏳️🌈
i am a Ford guy but the tremor is more of a luxury pickup then the tundra i would go with tundra
I’m sorry for the Tundra is not winning this. Tremor all day long!
Ford tremor
Ford, Toyota is over rated
I'll take the Ford Tremor. Toyota still can't figure out how to make a Good motor.
One is silly looking … the Tremor looks like a man’s truck …. I’ll take the Tremor.
When buying a full size truck, you buy one of the big three. Ford. Ram. Chevy (or gmc). You don't waste your time on the nissan and toyota
Not for that price
If the tundra and titan wanted to be serious market share contenders, they need to be 10K cheaper than the comparable Chevy, ford ram, gmc modlel
I hope this turbocharged fad goes away.
it's not a fad.
@@davidporter7051 it is…
@@davidporter7051 but it is…
@@JoseDiaz-qw7mg it appears you are not of the understanding of the definition of a fad. V8's are a dinosaur and the only manufacturer who made a commitment to keep one alive is GM. Stellantis and Toyota don't offer one in 1/2 tons. They are a niche seller in Ford's line up and Ford hasn't committed to a next generation and Nissan's is such a dud that the platform is gone.
It's here to stay. Thank the government. I'm going with the engine that benefits the best from a turbo: a diesel.
The Toyota engine is junk. The Tremor wins.
Not even a question that needs to be asked. Ford all day long.
Ford just recalled over 600k trucks for major issue of engines downsizing to 1st gear at highway speeds. Lol
Not the gen in the video or newer gens
Built ford recalls 🤣
100,00 tundras recall because engine is safety issue and grenades.
