Thats what's wrong with Canada and the USA we have 10's of millions of Asians invading our countries taking our jobs sending billions back to Asians, that's excluding the billions of dollars expats spending billions, we are destroying America,
Maybe you are destroying your country not me or many other expats! I worked over 50 years paid my taxes and did my time in the Navy. I have earned the right to retire any place I want
Invest in America not the Philippines,
it is my money I go and spend it anyway I want. I invested in US for over 50 years. How is it investing in an old couch in your mom's basement
Can you work the job that asians do? If you are not capable then you dont have an expertise that asians can do. Are you a college graduate with a profession? So stop whining and go to achool!
If America has a chance to survive and maintain its constitution, it will require young men to step up and save the day.
Thanks Mike for asking me to be interviewed. I appreciate it. We'll catch you a Janet back in Dumaguete soon.
Sounds good! Thank you you did a great job
What a great love story 💖 hope i find one
Congratulations to Rick. He seems to be very happy.
There is no such thing as a "Perfect Girl"! How many years have they been together?
Everything he is saying in this interview is the same thing that is going on in the United States. I came here in July 2019. I couldn't live on my retirement in the States. I am very comfortable here in the Philippines on my retirement.
happy you found your retirement home
That's me also! I love America but going down!
Thanks Mike and Janet for another great video❤ Rick did it the right way. He has many good points also. 😊
Our pleasure!
Great interview Mike! He sounds like he found a great Filipina.
he did Gary a very nice lady
Great advice from a fellow Canadian. Been married for 32 years to my wife whom is Filipino but we met in Canada. Retired now & doing a 50/50 split in our time between the Philippines & Canada.
Thanks for sharing
Good interview. I'm happy for this guy
As a Canadian myself I can relate, am from Quebec province where winters are brutal. Speaking to a few Filipinas now, they ask me why I want to relocate to the filipines, I tell them, you do not want to experience the cold here, I’ll take coconuts and cocktails on the beach anytime! Also, I don’t want my future woman to be brainwashed by the insane ungrateful feminist’s western woman we have here.
Please do not be naive! Filipinas are are strongly independant and typically, the boss of the family!
@@macscotty9997then let her boss me! I'll still be happy!
@@macscotty9997 then I'll enjoy the sunshine and do my thing, am not simping to any woman
His story is very similar to mine. I met my future wife around the same time frame as Rick. I came 8 different times to be with my girl. The only difference was that I had to wait & retire. I didn't have the finances to Marry her sooner, so we were married after Covid on Sept. 12 , 2022. Living in the Baliuag, Bulacan area.
it sounds like it all worked out
Yes, but a few road blocks because of waiting to retire & covid.
I believe trust, honest to each other is the best way for the couples LDR .watching from leyte.im proud both of you.keep safe everyone.thanks sir mike for this great interview.
Thank you so much 🤗
Your welcome sir mike
Canadian guy here too great story you're absolutely right Canada is not what it used to be say it's time for a trip for me down to the Philippines and definitely find a wife❤❤ 20:58
Good Interview Mike !!! Typical honest Canadian !!! Everything he says is true !!! Good Job !!! Thanks ( he's right about the weather -- -40C last week here in Alberta )
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for all the valuable information! I just heard in one of the vlogger channel that Canadian can NOT travel to Philippine right now! Do you know anything about it or it's just rumors?
It's just a Travel Advisory. No big deal
The best interview that I've seen on this channel, good job.
Wow, thank you!
😊 nice love story stay strong and stay in love ❤
You only live once. If that’s makes u happy go for it,
A man need a companion, wife. Would u rather see him sitting in a couch drinking all day. Good interview. I live in California the economy has skyrocketed. Politics has taken a dump. All they want how much can I make for myself.
He looks very happy and relaxed. 👍
Very!
We should all be so blessed. 🙏 Sana all
i will drink to that
BRAVO ❤♥️♥️
HI U2👋. Thanks for sharing his story 👍I agree best to meet in person and get a true sense of the person your interested in👍. I like this new interview style & camera is very good . Blessings 🙏🌺🌼🌸
I met my loving Filipina online! Had a rough start but now in love and I'll be her lover in Philippines!
@@bradleymiller7375 Nice to hear that 👍Key is open communication, honesty, and respect to each other and their cultures. Hope it lasts a lifetime 👍🙏. 1 day I hope to do the same🙏Blessings 🙏🌸🌺🌼
Awesome interview Mike and Rick. Thanks.
you're welcome
I am very happy with my 🇵🇭 wife. We just married fews weeks ago after 3 years relationship. I am proud of her, i am proud of my choice, good values, good judgement, very simple, not complicated life, the best decision of my life.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇵🇭🇵🇭
Thanks for sharing
old dog you will live long with her romance and pnay is the best caregiver. if you stay in your country you will die alone in a nursing home.
Enjoy 🤙🏼
we will thank you
Enjoy what ... please elaborate
Yeah right.
that is all you want to say...yeah right!
My wife's and my story is so similar to this. Also my name is Rick.😂
Thanks Rick
My family lives in sakas Regina
This sounds like Derrick from Q adventures.
not
Not because you look like Leonardo she likes me for me a good song, hey Leonardo 😂 !
Amazing that she didn't hookup with another foreigner when he went back to Canada. Per Mike, even if he made a commitment and sent her 2K/mo, she has the right to find a new partner if he wasn't in the PH.
That's misconstruing Mike's words
Extra bitter today
sending 2 k is insane. Like I said in the video I learned from a friend who was dating in the Philippines b4 I was and he passed on his suggestions of of what to look for and do or not do when dating women here. I will say your comment does happen here to foreigners when they go home and its because those foreigners think with the wrong head if u know what I mean. They ignore the red flags and haven't learned from their mistakes with women in general.
Morning Gents☕
Morning!
I found my lady online three years ago. Perfect 10. Marrying in Bohol July 2024. If you find a girl half as beautiful as mine be you did well.
half as beautiful. Yea Lucky us
Many men do not need or look for "perfect 10's"...being on the same page and having similar aspirations in life is for most men hugely more important !
@@LodeNid nope. Some of us can still attract and please the most attractive. I’m not one to settle for average. You came here for the dream.
@@tf4364 My lady was a poor province girl 28 but I’m wealthy, so now she is too. A rags to riches story. She had no clue and we don’t look at prices thankfully
@@tf4364 Former bar girl?
You have to watch the blogger LEGION OF MEN" why sensible foreigners avoid American Women as partners in life.
If the girl afraid to be on cam, BIG red Flag turn off to me. This guy making big mistake with family and land and building house for family. With me, not happening. Money no issue for me but I am never ATM for the family.
Always a give n take relationship. Once you open your heart to marry a Filipina, you’re now King. You find your treasure and the rewards are great, not perfect but sure is one to keep.
That's true!
A great story, but let's add some realism ... Rick married his lady within a year of meeting her, he brought her to live in his Western country, he's forked out "big dollars" to buy her family a block of land, he's built a swish three-bedroom house (upon that land) for her family, and he's been funding her an international vacation virtually every year since they got married, to visit her family - sometimes flying there "multiple times" within the same year. All of that, is exactly what any controlling Pinay lady would have you do - so he's following her script to a tee. And to pull it off, requires a ** boat-load ** of money ... for which he's been slaving away at two jobs to fund. So, to say that she didn't marry him for his bankbook, is perhaps a little naive. All women the world over, want a man with the financial means to support them ... period
you miss the part her having 2 jobs
@@mikesphilippineretirement Mike, for sure, she works hard too ... but perhaps his bankbook is a little more relevant than he acknowledges
Im so tired of people complaining about woman only wanting their money despite the evidence of individual stories such as this one. In this case they have been together for 13 years and she has been working 2 jobs in Canada all that time.
If she just wanted his money she could have divorced him years ago and taken half the assets and lived a comfortable life in Canada. I’d say that Rick is a lucky man and I wish him all the best (I should be so lucky) 😊
@@paulz6491Who's complaining? I'm merely making observable statements of fact. Whilst Rick downplays his bank-book, if it wasn't for it, then I doubt things would be quite as peachy for them. Yes, she works hard too, as a dishwasher ... but she depends upon him to bring the "big bucks" in for her Filipino family ... which is perfectly OK, but let's not deny the reality of it
@@mikesphilippineretirement his money is their money. Her money is her money. Thats the way it works gents.
I’m a retired 75 yr old Woman where 85 percent of my income is for rent. I eat berries and apple from my yard. Going to a food bank is just desserts and stale food. Times are a changing people 😉
Where do you live?.... What is normal rent there for 1 bedroom apartment?.......
eating berries and apples from my backyard what do you do in the winter
I live in the United States, Sacramento Cal. I eat a lot of pasta from the food bank
Normal rent is about 1,800 for a one bedroom. I live in a mobile home and lot rent is 700.00 a month with electric, gas, water , and sewerage bring it more or less over a 1,000
@@mikesphilippineretirement 4:30 am comment... You need more beauty sleep....😁😁😁😁
Unfortunately it sounds like she has become westernized already. Why not help her open a little restaurant in the Philippines closer to family .
Man, two jobs each? They will never see each other😕
Buying land and building a large house as well for her family? Crazy.
hard working and good folks
Crazy unless your spouse is worth it and you know you can trust her because of your life experience and your general knowledge of human nature...
Not all in laws in the Philippines are as greedy as the horror stories. Some can actually be grateful and kind for the help you give them
What no perfect girl in Canada ?
If you truly believe that, give me all ur money and see if she stays.
Online is the best because you don’t want to limit yourself to only those you pass on the street or a mall. Far off provinces have perfect 10s only online
perfect 10..hahaha
@@mikesphilippineretirement gosh. I’m so lucky. I’ve never seen an expat that matches her. 28 single perfect English. Good luck to all. Online dating works
Online seems like minefield
@@dave_in_florida you got to have skills and common sense.
want to find a good filipina lady. Find one that lives in the mountain province and works hard for her family and sends money back home for them.
Yeah but, what about her family and friends (which, sometimes include flippino bf)
what about them?
@mikesphilippineretirement you omitted what they would want from the relationship?
Don't plead ignorance-the Philippines is a collectivistic society-you marry her; parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends and boyfriends who often masquerade as one of the above.
@@pandemicoftheunvaccinated5367 nah.. you're just unlucky
