Hey Alex, THANK YOU so much for your kind comment. I just started this channel, so hope it can help other new n52 owners to avoid expensive repairs and DIY everything themselves... I've really struggled with oil consumption with my car for years and decided to rebuild the engine. Hope others can learn from my mistakes! Send me a message on IG so we can keep in touch.
I've gone through a number of your videos to help me with my engine replacement. You've given me a lot of heads up with what to do in the process. Great videos! I'm looking to put my replacement engine on my stand. How much did you torque the stand mounting bolts to the engine? Thanks.
I didn't torque them with a torque wrench but I wouldn't go too hard because if you didn't measure the bolt length correctly you can damage the block. So keep that in mind when tightening those bolts down
@@buildanddrive I see. I've been going through your other videos just now, looking to learn from your other steps with the engine. Really helpful video/visual reference for an engine out rebuild/refresh of engine components and seals. Thanks!
@@johndeleon1304 do you have a n52b25? don't forget to get new pistons with the new oil control rings or drill the old pistons. I show this in my video "how much did it cost"
@@buildanddrive I'll I need to get my stuff together and set up some kind of editing station or something. I'm getting a computer and some stuff to record. But let me tell you, it's hard to do the recording and talking 🤯. That's something I need to get down lol :)
@@omar1990seattle the hardest part is getting started. My shots and lighting ain't so great but that's something I can improve with time. Just start somewhere.
Great editing and content my man, keep it up for all us n51/n52 owners

@@buildanddrive I'm not doing a complete rebuild like you. Just swapping out the engine from another Z4 into mine. 06 to 06 SI.
Will you do some basic maintenance? Front / rear main seal? Oil pan gasket? Timing chain Etc. Stuff you can't do in the car so easily.
great success, I like

So to mount I get 4 of the M 12 x 100 mm correct?
Well done 👏✔👍
Much appreciated! 🙏🏼

What size would I need to replace aluminum bolts on tranny ?
You will need to buy the tranny bolts again, there are multiple sizes and I don't have the info in front of me atm
Really cool video, good job 👍

You should start a TH-cam channel! Its the toughest thing you'll do... But at the end of the year it will be super rewarding! 🙏🏼👊🏼
