Thanks for showing how everything comes apart. Very different to work on when it is inside the engine bay. I have 3 128i series and so I'm getting to know the n52 engine very well!
That engine looks that has been taking care of properly and flushed often ... measure the pistons just to be safe and if good reuse them and throw in new piston rings and you got a new engine basically
First of your videos I watch. This is awesome! I’m so subscribing! Maybe some more ceiling lights or something in garage? It’s a bit dark sometimes. Otherwise super!
I bought a broken engine so I could keep driving my car for the 3 months while I sourced the parts for it and put it back together. Which is exactly what happened. I waited 3 weeks for a valve.
@@buildanddrive this is the only thing came to mind that you still wanted to drive the car. But there is a lot of unknown and risks with another engine, at least with yours you can verify the milage and you already knew the issues.

These engines are awesome and feel great to drive. Send me a message on IG, would love to see your cars

Yep, totally agree. Conrod bearings were well within spec too. Swapped in new rings, valve stem seals and gaskets etc
really enjoying the series, thanks for all the efforts
🙏🏼 The series was fun to make and I hope it can help others learn from my mistakes! Still editing everyday, so more videos on the way!

Thanks man! Appreciate the comment! Yes I totally agree. I put all my $ into parts and tools though 😂
Good Job mate 👍
Thanks Michael, more videos on the way. Really excited to see if we can put the engine back together!
Does the 523i have the same head as the 525i? (both n52)
It should be the same engine!?
Both 2.5 liters.
It should.
@@buildanddrive thanks for the answer man!
Great video #N52Racing #e90 #bimmerlife

Sorry, I don't understand. What can I help you with?
I am not sure why you did not rebuild your own engine.
