      What is seasoned salt

    • @CookingwithShirani
      @CookingwithShirani  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lathamenon2023 I have a link to it in the description box. The one I used is called Morton Season All Seasoned Salt. It's a blend of salt, paprika, black pepper, onion, garlic, celery seed and chili pepper. You can use any kind of seasoning mix that you like with salt in it. You can use regular table salt also but I prefer the seasoning mix because it adds extra flavor.

    Hello Shirani.
    I just made these tonight & they were so freakin' awesome it was unbelievable.
    Of course, I added my little touch. They were crispier than patato chips!
    Had them with rice & veggies. I'm in heaven now. The Shrimps size 16-20 are still on sale this week so I'll go get myself couple more bags!
    Thank you from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

      OMG! It's my favorite too and I always request it for my birthdays! 😊

    • @popeyesailorman911
      @popeyesailorman911 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right On!! Fried Shrimp and whatever they want to bring to the table.. :D i love shrimp more than Crab or Lobsters, easier to eat and less messy. Crab is messy and Lobster is tougher in texture than Shrimp. There's times for messy like Buffet or Las Vegas food tours but NOT messy on my Birthdays just in case we're heading out somewhere after.. :D The Coconut fried shrimp they sell in the frozen section is pretty good too(i forgot which brand it was). I tried to avoid meat since it'll fill me up too quick(chicken/pork/steak). i will certainly try ur recipe this weekend although i don't have the electric fryer but i do have the turkey burner(30,000 btu) so hopefully it'll work.
      Do you recommend Sea salt, Kosher salt, Himalayan pink salt, or celtic sea salt...?? There are ones with iodine and ones without so i'm not sure which is best for flavor.. iodine or not.. Just in case i can't find ur seasoned salt at my local supermarkets..

    • @CookingwithShirani
      @CookingwithShirani  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love any kind of seafood, I could eat it every day! I have a link for the seasoned salt in the description box if you are interested but if not then you can just use regular table salt. I always buy the iodized one.

      The season salt I like to use in all my cooking is called Morton Season All Season Salt. I have a link to it in the description box. Basically, the season salt is a blend of salt, paprika, black pepper, onion, garlic, celery seed and chili pepper.

    Will dipping it in a metal container over the stove work?

    • @CookingwithShirani
      @CookingwithShirani  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can do that. I just like using a fryer because I find that the food is less greasy than frying on the stove.

      Cooking with Shirani that’s most likely due to the temperature of the oil, use s thermometer to periodically check the temp while frying.

    Seasoned salt means?

    • @CookingwithShirani
      @CookingwithShirani  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jennifer, the one I used is called Morton Season All Seasoned Salt. It's a blend of salt, paprika, black pepper, onion, garlic, celery seed and chili pepper. You can use any kind of seasoning mix that you like with salt in it. You can use regular table salt also but I prefer the seasoning mix because it adds extra flavor.
