Two things: A) the $1 price tag doesn’t do what you think it does. It’s more annoying to potential buyers than anything else. I skip over all $1 ads because the first things I think are “this is probably really expensive and I don’t feel like clicking on it, and the person also thinks I’m an idiot.” Best to put the actual price. Clicking on a $1 ad doesn’t make someone more or less likely to buy a $500 card.
    B) Market place is fine but if you’re doing these on eBay, just keep in mind they take like 13% of sales. Which is absurd. Basically means if you buy a $35 card ON eBay, you’ll spend $43 after tax and shipping. Then to sell it, in order to break even, you’ll have to put it at $50. Which means the buyer will have to spend $60 after tax and shipping.

Same. When i see the 1$ on marketplace all it tells me is that the seller has an unrealistic price and doesn’t want to make it public. I immediately ignore it.

The money is in obtaining low to mid level cards that can grade a 10. You do the work others don’t want to do. Then flip for bigger ROI. Risk in it if you don’t know how to look at cards for grading but tons more upside.

Only problem with that nowadays is the turn around to get the graded cards back.

You didn't include the shipping cost of both cards which cuts into your profit margin quite a bit.

True, I used Pirateship.com to ship in a medium bubble mailer, which was $4.13 for a label. Bubble mailer, one touch case for the card and cardboard to protect it was around $5 more so a total of around $10ish for shipping costs. Thanks for clarifying so others can see my comment
