I'm in my 3rd year of Biomedical Science right now, but our lecturers usually tell us if whole essay feedback is available or not. If not, you can only ask them specific questions in an email. This is because they are trying to avoid writing the essay "for you". Also they often tell us that they don't have the time to review 50 essays before they are submitted.
I know I’m reply very late but you are soooo sweet!! You replied to my email long back about masters in Biotechnology. I took your advice and now studying masters at NYU!!! Thank you so so much and I apologise to reply sooo late♥️
@@Biomeducated UK degrees are typically much harder than degrees in Europe or the US which is why the cut offs are so low. Most people get 70% to get their 1st because as a general rule if you get 80%+ on a dissertation for example it’s technically publishable.
Thanks for this tips! Did you always ask for feedback in person or have you ever tried it via email? Also did a supervisor ever rejected your request for feedback? Thanks again!

Replying*😅
My lecturers say that it wont be fair to other students so they can't give feedback. RIP (engineering course)
This is really important and thank you
do they always give feedback when you ask?
Belgian guy here: is a 'FIRST' the same in the UK as we would say a 9 or 10 out of 10? Or like an A/A+ in the US? :D
Yes, first is the A range (70-100%), then we have a 2:1 (B), 2:2 (C) and 3rd degree (D). Below 40% is failed
@@yanusanders7686 Below 40 !!!!!! Damn. For us it's always been 50% cut off!

There are universities in which professors refuse to give feedback, as it would not be fair for other students
