    Great list and comparison, Atousa!
7:11 Given the research oriented focus, with a B.Sc in Biomed from a research-oriented uni not many people typically stop there. Most go on to graduate school, at least here in Belgium.
7:43 If you get into industry with your biomed degree (biotech/pharma/medtech companies...), the team-play aspect is huge, perhaps equal or more to multidisciplinary aspect in medicine. But indeed, taking the academic route ((M.Sc., PhD, Post-Doc, Professor (yeah right ;)) is far more of a one-man show, with more indirect support let's say.
    Cheers!

Excellent list! Define differences and you show the divergences well. BioMed simulations have increased hands on for us but still not all the opportunities that they could be for effective learning. Thanks for posting!

I came to this video because I'm starting degree in less than 6 months and I constantly doubt my decision between Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Generally, I like the way to learn in Medicine, examinin on patients and a lot of practical, but I'm super introverted. I don't think I can succeed well in Medicine so I turned to Biomedical Sciences. Biomed suits me very well, but there might be a lot of obstacles to look for a job in my country with Biomed Degree. I still can't decide whether to step out of my comfort zone to learn new things, or stay inside the circle and make life go as smooth as possible😣
Edit: my family and friends encourage me to go for Medicine (out of my comfort zone) because I'm eligible for the entry requirement, and they say it's a chance that others could not get. I like their idea tho don't get me wrong

@@adrianariana9010 Hi sorry for late reply, yes, I've decided to choose what suites me -- Biomed. It affects the next 50 years of my life so yeah, also during the pandemic I'm kinda worried about Medicine school fees cuz ya know IT'S SO EXPENSIVE- Class starts end of October x)

    Hi atousa,
Your videos are always informative and Great.😊
I wanted to know how much time you had off or how much free time you had during medical school.
I’ve heard some medical students have had 3 months off during medicine.
How true is this? Or does it depend on the medical school?
    Thank you. 😊

Hello! I loved this video, thankyou for making it💗. I just want to ask, if you study biomed and then switch to med, how many extra years do you end up doing for not going directly into med?⭐️

I'm the one who failed get the offer to be admitted into public university to study medicine in Malaysia
I'm also the one due to the reason I mentioned, considering biomed now
But.....for God sake everything doesn't seem to be falling into its place

      Hi~
      Is everything alright now?
I'm currently doing form 6 and I'm considering to take biomed course in university later on.
If you did take biomed course, can you tell me how it is so far? Like it is hard or easy (i know nothing is easy but i like to hear your opinion 😊)
      Thank you.

@@sabrinaraja7300 Hi Fyi my stpm scored 3.83 (A in bio, che, math B+ in PA) koko 8++
At last upu gave me the last option in my application list which is ukm geology, i rejected it, and I ended up applied to private studying medicine.
So i have nothing to tell regarding biomed.
But since you're doing form 6, if you're aiming for government university, perform extra well in your academic as well as koko, as u can see cgpa of 3.83 don't even deserve a biomed course.
But anyway, a good result will surely lead you to somewhere.
      All the best~
