@RileyStyling I'm glad you've learned something new from my video:) I think a lot of people talk about delayed life syndrome by saying that you need to live in the moment. I think it is implied then that you live either in the future or in the past instead of living life in the here and now. Thank you a lot for your comment!
Thank you for sharing your progress, and yes its very inspiring. I had always kept a spotless home and organized the best i could and kept up this for most of my life , until some health issues followed by depression that lasted over 2 years. And i was pretty much the one who did all the house work, laundry , taking care of pets, and children thankfully children were grown when my problems started. But let me tell you wow my home really took a hit with 2 or better years only getting bare minimum done. Certain areas are so messy ,out of order not been properly cleaned or at least the way i cleaned . And i have found it difficult to get my house back in order and deep cleaned now that my health is getting better. So im going to start with 1 room a week to completely organize, clean, deep clean maybe that way i won't get too overwhelmed because i will also still be doing daily dishes,laundry ,cooking ect... i just don't understand why its been so difficult for me to get back to being me and doing the things i had always done before. Im the only one who can change what im doing and how im doing and i have already missed over 2 years i really don't want to lose anymore time
@tonya8652 I am so thankful that you are sharing your experience. I hope you'll achieve everything you wish with decluttering of your home. I am working on a new video now about different reasons for clutter. I don't know if it can help you to get answers to your questions. I would be happy if it did. Keep going and take care of yourself!
@traceyfrommelbourneaustral8649 I am very pleased that this video gave food for thought. It would be interesting to know what exactly resonated with you. Feel free to share. Perhaps I can develop this topic in a separate video:)
@vickyharris5244 Hi:) I'm moving up the career ladder: from a cleaner to a project manager☺ I think we should try to look at ourselves with our own eyes if you understand what I mean🥰
Excellent video. I believe people who clutter or hoard have mental health issues like anxiety, overwhelm, depression, grief, trauma, or fear. I also have a hard time getting rid of books and paper. I will be donating 30 journals to the domestic violence shelter. I have 2 plastic cubes of papers to go through in the office. I put receipts and post-it notes in separate baggies. They have apps in the States that you can get gift cards for our receipts. I will go through these later, after the office is clean. Organizing for me is contagious now. It took me a long time to let go of who I use to be... I am letting go of many of my belongings that I don't need, and will donate them to people who can use them. Having my "stuff" gave me a false sense of safety and security. I have been downsizing my belongings. I am on a good roll now. The more I do, the more I want to do. I am perfectionistic when it comes to the cleanliness of my kitchen. This needs to be model show home ready. I clean this daily, no excuses. When I go to bed, I like it spotless. This way when I wake-up I feel refreshed. After I officially downsize I want the rest of my place to be spotless too. I think it creates more inner peace and serenity. Good job!
@susanhampton9671 I am so glad that you are sharing your experience. It sounds inspiring and it seems like you've got a long journey. I think we can all inspire each other by sharing positive experience. Thank you for that!
@@Unmessyourhome You are welcome. It didn't happen overnight. It took multiple tries and certain health issues to have the energy to tackle it once and for all. I am focusing on moving forward and waving good-bye at the past. This way I can determine with newfound space really want I want and truly need. No more compulsive shopping.
@adelinadevel5040 Thank you so much for your feedback! It is important to me that you and the other people in my community can have a good experience of my videos, so I will definitely think about a solution regarding the sound
@sinman1935 Yes, exactly! It's a mess in my opinion too, that's why I am decluttering:) But I AM a perfectionist. When I do something I am a top performer and I explain in the video why perfectionists can have a mess at home. Thank you for your thought-provoking comment!
Delayed Life Syndrome - I’ve never heard of this but I can totally relate to this concept!

A phrase that really helped me was, don’t put it down, put it away.
@CharleneEvenson It sounds smart:)
Great job taking charge of your life, instead of letting the clutter do the ruling!
@Ann-vr1qr

A perfectionist ?You’ve got to be kidding me ! This is not a perfectionists home, it’s a mess ! In my opinion
