    Congrats on your recent acquisition of X-Pro2!!! After being Sony shooter for many years I switched to Fujifilm. And I never looked back. Started with X-E1. But always wanted X-Pro2... (drumroll) …which I purchased last week!!! OMG! What a wonderful camera! Love your photos. Keep on shooting 👍

    This guy is not a pro-gadget consumer. He is a very wise buyer. "This is the camera that I need for my work" Not the last model, not the one with the red button to show off, not the one that makes the others have orgasmic evaluations. No. The ONE he NEEDS. He simply is an ARTISAN.
    Nice going, Eli!!!
    Keep on shooting.
    Keep on sharing.

    2024, I bought the xpro2 over the xt30ii both are great tools but different animals, the xpro2 together with the 35 mm f2 fuji lens is a modern dream. Fuji could have stopped there… with this lens the camera reaches its full resolution of 24 MP. There is no need for more megapixels, even with aggressive cropping because your scene was too far away…. a dream combination for me, makes photography a lot more fun….😊

      No doubt. XPro2 is better than XPro3 imo, however I’m anticipating an XPro4 next year!

    I would honestly argue that the X-Pro2 is *better* than the X-Pro3. The X-Pro2s OVF has two optical lenses, one wide and one more zoomed in. That means it's workable to use it all the way from 18mm (16 if you're okay with using the view itself as a somewhat inaccurate composition tool) to 60mm. And it's optimal for use with 23mm (still room to see outside the frame comfortably), and 50mm (zoomed enough in). The X-Pro3 lacks this, it has only a single element in its OVF, with 23mm being the widest that you can comfortably use, and really 27mm or 35mm being the only optimal ones.
    A more subjective point: the sensor of the X-Pro2 (shared with X100F, X-E3, X-T2, etc…) is the one that creates the most beautiful images of any of the X-series Fujifilm cameras. I have an X100V and its images are not as beautiful as those taken by my X-Pro2 in terms of colour and noise pattern. I mean, the noise pattern of X-Pro2 is so organic that I often *intentionally* crank up the ISO to get more of it!
    The regular one (which I have) is also just a stunning camera to hold. It's so tactile. I had a similar journey (just happened a longer time ago), having had Canon and Sony cameras, using analogue for a while and then ending up with the X-Pro2. It's just so tactile to use. I absolutely love it!

      I love your thoughts on this. I’m currently using the X100V as my daily carry and then I have a XT3 that I don’t use much. I’m looking at getting the X-Pro 2 or waiting to see what’s next between the X100 and X-Pro series.
      I think I’m going to go with a X-Pro 2

    I really like your photos!! Great work! I’ve had an x-pro2 for a few years now. I really prefer that sensor to the newer ones. (I’ve owned an x-pro3 and xt3, but sold them both). I would say my x-pro2 is the best digital camera I’ve ever owned (including a Nikon d700 and Sony a7rii), and I’ll keep it until it stops working :) I never had more fun shooting digital than I have with the x-pro2.

    I enjoyed your video and like you, I see a great deal of value in the X-Pro2, even in 2022... even though I own the XT-3 and XH-1, which are newer.
    From my experience, there is something special about the combination of sensor and processor in the x Pro 2 and other cameras that came out at the same time, like the X-T2. Particularly at high ISO, in low light, the grain is somehow more pleasing and less visible than on the later generation sensor/processor combo, and overall I prefer the images it captures.
    There's also something sublime about the shutter feel and sound on the x Pro 2 which differs from every other Fuji camera I own. I don't know if it produces shutter shock, and I have never seen any indication it does, but it's just so snappy and enjoyable, I just can't get over how much I love it, even years later. Conversely, while my XH1 shutter is whisper quiet and completely devoid of shutter shock, it's just not as pleasing somehow, and it's perhaps a little oversensitive.

    • @EliBeaversonVisuals
      @EliBeaversonVisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well put, totally agree that the shutter sound is a beautiful thing!!

    Eli- Thank you for your thoughts as you matured to the wonders of Fuji. I own an X-100V, an X-Pro 2, and an X-T3, all great Fuji cameras. I love them all. The X-100V serves as 1) my everyday camera, 2) my street and documentary camera, and 3) my minimalist travel camera. My X-Pro 2 comes into play when I desire the flexibility of Fuji's small primes (16,23,35,50mm) all weather sealed. The X-T3, while an excellent camera is last one I pick up. Like you, I prefer a camera body/lens to have a small profile not likely to draw attention.

      @EliBeaversonVisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jeff, well put, thanks for the thoughts! I really love the XPro2 with the small 23mm f2 prime. But my XE-4 is still fun to serve as my X100V-style camera when I have the pancake 27mm f2.8 on it. Do you have an Instagram I can follow you at?

  • @poloo92
    @poloo92 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does the xpro 2 do 4k video ? Does it have the hybrid viewfinder ( ovf/evf ) ? Does the screen is out facing correctly ?
    Xpro3 screen seems so poorly designed for any video , even if it's just a fraction of what you plan to use it for ....kills the camera in this way.
    Very photos btw , the color and "loose" composition are georgeous !

    • @EliBeaversonVisuals
      @EliBeaversonVisuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much! Yes it does 4K video with a firmware update but I only plan to use it as a photo camera, it has a great hybrid viewfinder! It has a normal screen but it doesn’t flip.

    Really nice video! I'm totally fascinated by Fuji's system. At moment I have got an old Nikon d5200 with several lens but is quite heavy and sometimes frustrating so I wanna change it. I'm totally lost for the x-pro2 and the x100v. The X-pro2 is easier to recover at the moment even at a lower price (~800€ solo body) but the manageability, lightness of the x100v really appeals to me, especially because it could be that camera to take on trips in your backpack and travel light or that helps you get back to photography while having fun. On the one hand the X-pro2 has the flexibility on the other the x100v has the lightness and manageability.
    What do you think about it?

    • @EliBeaversonVisuals
      @EliBeaversonVisuals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm, truly can’t go wrong with either. I have never personally owned an X100V but have friends that have and have heard nothing but great things. The X100V is certainly a bit more compact but the versatility and aesthetic of the XPro just does it for me.

    • @andreavoit
      @andreavoit ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EliBeaversonVisuals yes, that is true. The X-pro2 has a timeless design and more versatility. I have to find one and take in hand. I already know that the x100v would lead me to spend a lot more money because then I would also like the X-pro2 to do more serious jobs when requested by the customer. If I'm lucky with 1100 bucks I should be able to find everything I need, X-pro2 + 23mm.
