First i thought apple pencil is only some plastic stick, but after see this video i realized that maybe $99 for this thing maybe not as over priced as i think
Billy Creations How does yours work? Is it rubber / otherwise capacitive or active? A good way to tell is: Capacitive just works, active needs to be charged.
PSA to Apple Pencil owners. Always keep it charged. After shaking my head in disbelief, with the death of my Seldom used pencil, this video has given me some comfort. Thank you.
Basically a disposable pencil. Once it stops working, it's garbage. I didn't use mine for a couple of months, the battery won't charge anymore. Users must watch: always keep it charged and active!
@Llama just replaced my s7 for s10+ and my s7 still runs a full day and doesnt lag at all. its bullshit just clean your phone, and learn how to use it...
I don't understand why Apple has tried to reinvent the Wacom pen. I have a Wacom tablet and the pen is powered by radio waves from the display meaning that it never needs charging, what more replacements are available for under £15.
+Colin A. I found that it has "pressure sensitivity" but I couldn't find anything saying that it had "angle sensitivity", some wacom tablets had it though. My tablet is a Lenovo X201t running Ubuntu if you want to look into it more.
@@ZarkOner I commented that many years ago and my newer Samsung Android tablet has a similar technology but the entire tablet is barely any different from a iPad... The argument about thickness no longer applies.
My Apple Pencil fell into water so I tried putting it in rice for 3 days but it’s still not working, so I’m wondering if you have any suggestions on what to do
It’s 2021 when I write this. My Apple Pencil holds a charge for a good year really, I charged it to 5% a month ago and it’s still got charge in it now as I write. The adapter was first part pinched followed by the magnetic cap though it might have come off anywhere really not having anywhere to keep the pencil. (5% power warning just came on). I paid AU $9.95 for pencil with purchase of iPhone and iPad in 2018. The iPad screen disintegrated last year, replacement screen keeps peeling off (wasn’t glued back properly). I like the Apple Pencil, it works better than the android stylus/pencils I’ve used .
I hardly ever used mine and the battery died. I have tried the methods of heating it to get it to charge but didn’t work so I must try connecting it to the charger and see if It will work.
Apple only charges these prices because they can. They know that anyone who can afford an iPad Pro probably won't mind paying the extra $99. Marketing yo
The Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus 1 costs $109. A replacement Wacom stylus for their Intuos or Cintiq tablets are the same price as the Pencil. A $100 price tag is common for styluses.
+iheartcutethings Those are niche styluses, $30 is a common price for a stylus. I'm aware they can be had for much cheaper, but I believe a regular retail price is a fair comparison. Will this iPad work with regular styluses, or will apple make so you have to be a stylus made by them?
+Eric Perez As for whether other styluses can be used with it, I'm not sure at the moment. Right now I'm hearing problems about connectivity with current styluses and the Pro, but it could be that they just need updating on the third-party's part.
So: I was an awful Apple Pencil owner. I was getting ready to go out, and I was about to move my pencil, but I put my knee on my bed to grab my jacket, and I felt a crack below me. The pencil was under the covers. That was a few months ago, and now the pencil has gotten worse to the point where the crack at the top has gotten bad. Also, the charging port is now at rise of coming out. Like if I tug on it a little, it comes out, but not far enough due to wires. So....like....any tips?
In this review as well as others fail to notify consumers if one ever let the pencil fully discharge it will no longer charge or function. This was confirmed by Apple support tech and you have to buy another as a fix.
Are the pins of the lightning connector connected directly to the battery contacts? Therefore I could try to "shock" the battery with a voltage that is 50% higher than the nominal voltage of 3.8V. Sometimes it helps to revive a dead Lithium-battery. But I need to know which ins lead to the battery contacts. But if there is a driver / power converter inbetween, it is useless.
I accidentally bent mine and it just snapped in half like it was made of chalk, I had the 2. generation it’s apparently less durable than the first one even though it cost more or maybe I just had super strength for a moment
Mine cracked on the side, I don’t know how it happened, but the metal part is loose and I can pull it and it’ll come out, but not off, I want to fix the crack but I really don’t know what to do
Can you please tell me that the head of this pencil is slightly tilted in one side as because my pencil tip is tilted slightly so i am afraid that is it broken???
i haven’t charge my pencil for six months and now it wont charge.. if I plug it in my ipad pro it indicates it’s 3%. It wont stay connected to my ipad once I unplug it to my ipad it disconnects. have u encountered such problem?

apple pencil is way too heavy my hand gives out after an hour... if only it were as light or lighter than a regular pencil maybe then i could use it to actually draw for long periods of time. less screws idk just make it light please
