@@SpeedfrkOne"I, myself (a sample of one), am the centre of the universe and all of my experiences are universal"
It has nothing to do with taking care of your tech. Defects and issues still occur (there is always a failure rate, with any product, even products with good QC) and by their nature batteries are finite lifespan products. Using any battery powered product daily will inevitably and rather quickly wear down its battery, even if you practice good charging habits. Not all of us want tech to be disposable and needlessly polluting.
Companies improving repairability doesn't negatively affect you at all so I can't say I understand this comment as anything other than trolling. Why else are you wasting your time on iFixIt content if repairability is such an affront to your worldview?
PS. I'm not sure that you understand what backwards compatibility is.

Told them current OLED they using in TV not good enuf i.e. burn in, saturation and peak brightness being biggest issues. Great job as always, guys! Happy to see some progress from Apple, the battery should be even easier to repair that what they have but this is miles ahead of previous gens.
I understand that specially tablets are not computers and (most) ppl don't expect them to last for like 10 years, but batteries specially die far quicker than that, specially on a 1 day device.
I hope the next gen is even better, having to heat glue just to replace a battery seems excessive for ordinary people and counter productive for technicians.

When it is about Apple iPads ... to know what is inside - you just have to watch JerryRig .. because its always a very high chance they snap like a twig and reveal their insides.

You: “…Apple’s come a long way.” (Said three band-aids later)
Apple: “Darn right. We never would have thought to place a vital screw under an integrated chip ten years ago. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha, good luck getting that out without f*¿&ing something up. That’s real growth right there, ku-ku-ku!”(said while twisting mustache end with fingers).

Anyway, I am barely using my Apple Pencil, thinking about selling it.

iFixit has a much more careful teardown with a greater purpose.
I wonder if Apple could make a two part Pencil with a screw in battery side, not sure how pretty it would look as they want a seamless design and I guess it would make it a three part design if we include the nib.

Any idea what the cellular modem model is in the 5G versions? Hopefully it’s the Qualcomm X70, although it’d be lovely if they leapfrogged the iPhone by going straight to the X75 instead.
