      from what i know, there's a special sensor that comes with some phones and tablets (Galaxy note, for example) that's called a digitizer and it's what makes pressure sensitivity work. The styluses made with pressure sensitivity on them only work on screens with this thing installed

    The reason why the pencil and tack didn't work is that. the eraser end is rubber, while the tack is metal causing it to reverse itself so the rubber stops the electricity while the metal conducts it

    I found crochet hooks work pretty well and they come in a lot of different sizes only thing I would recamend if your able to is for the smaller ones (I use a 1.5mm) is put some sort of rubber cap on the end or somehow file it down some so it's smoother and has less of a chance to scrach the screen. I find it to be a lot better then using a wet qutip or cotten swab stuffed into a pen.

    • @monitoot
      @monitoot ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothi Worked for me except the cotton swab ad the battery, I've tried crochet hooks but it didn't work either ☹️

    • @Gummyoonz
      @Gummyoonz ปีที่แล้ว

      OMG I TRIED IT. It worked. I put cotton at the hook end and wetted it and it works

  • @AbdullahB17
    @AbdullahB17 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    yeah but the problem with the pen and the cotton swab is you've always gotta have your hand on the wire for it to actually work, i reccomend taping together the q-tip and the aluminium foil up to the grip of the pen so it's comfortable to hold in your hand and will work nonetheless. for this style of stylus you actually have to have your hand on the conductive material for it to work.

    I have a question. I'm making a project where I need the stylus to work only when I touch the metal that conducts electricity, because it's supposed to touch the screen all the time. But for some reason it interacts with the screen even if my hands are away from the metal. And sometimes it doesn't interact with the screen at all even when I touch it. Why does it work like this and how can I decrease the sensitivity?

    I found your video as I was looking of tips (literally :) ) to make the stylus that came with my laptop have more 'grip'. As it came, the stylus felt too slippery on the touch screen. I wanted it to have more 'grip' to make it feel like a real pen or pencil on paper. Anyway, after watching your video I got an elastic band and fixed it length ways to the stylus. That is, along the whole length of the stylus but looped so the rubber 'band' fitted over the tip and then stretched over the stylus top at the other end. Perfect. Stylus still works and has a nice 'drag' which makes it easier to write.

    • @fungalwater3175
      @fungalwater3175 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cggc9510 water is only conductive because of the ionised particles in it which can move freely. If it is frozen the ionised particles can't move freely. Ice probably won't conduct without a super high current
