I have had my GShock G511D for 16 Years, stopped wearing it several years ago, but just replaced battery, so hopefully all is good again.
Thank for showing how to take the hands off! I was always scared to do that, but I finnaly succeded:)

Any idea what other models I can get the watch motor and gearbox from? The coil on mine is damaged so it doesn't now work.

I see the video and there is no explanation for this...
was that a short circuit or overheat of the chip onto the mobo that burnt that portion...pretty strange and sad as well
What watch model engine could i replace with my g-500? I have the same watch series with metal body but the its dead now. I want to use the metal bezel and strap by just replacing the machine inside. Thank u.
How can you worked on such dirty surface?
I have G shock G-700 and replaced baterai but display not on at all, I think maybe the problem same with u, maybe tomorrow I will try to fix it like that, remove residu with thinner right?
