    Given the size of the module and the actual case of the watch, it goes to show the serious shock resistance Casio puts into it. Amazing engineering!

    Listen man,... your videos are great information for those of us who are willing to remove "screw one" from the case back! I always am impressed how you are very thoughtful to adjust the camera to macro/micro/etc. to show what you are trying to show as clearly as possible. It save a lot of our money and time, and aggravation. Thank you

    I took apart my GW-9400. Thanks to your video. There was a speck of dust between the decorative piece and the front glass. Possibly a failed quality control inspection. I got that speck of dust out and was able to reassemble everything back.

      He'll no downsize just a bit.... lots of people out there looking so stupid with small or even average wrist and a giant G-Shock cough cough... too clunky there's nothing tactical about it..
      The Range man and the mud man are the biggest G-Shock i own along with the 7900. I love them but I always wish they were a bit smaller...
      Chicks definitely don't dig big clunky watches either so they serve no purpose to be that oversized ...
      I still wear all my G's though

      @@ROrneli yes you are right!
      Of all the gals I've seen asked, females do not like large flashy watches on men....
      The ones you hang around maybe different but the models that were asked much prefer dress watches on men... matter of fact is pretty well-known women dislike oversized watches on men...
      I would say the only exception is a man with an arm size to match
      I'll Try to link a couple videos if i remember where I saw them... but it was a group of models in New York and some girls in Miami who were in these videos giving their answers on which watches they preferred men to wear...
      What I noticed the most was women weren't really interested at all in men's watches
      .... when they had to choose they chose the watches that were 40 mm and under...
      Look I didn't write the rules I'm just telling you what I've seen of the women that were polled..
      I wear a Rangeman a lot, but always wish it were a touch smaller...
      Men have started wearing watches so big these days they are clown watches
      a bigger watch will make your small arms stand out yeah i agree..

    • @BuffaloNickel9
      @BuffaloNickel9 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ROrneli I just read the rest of your comment..Yeah you mentioned something correct "if you have big arms to match the watch"
      That's very important otherwise it looks like a clown watch.. I'll definitely agree there...
      unfortunately many men are wearing them these days...
      a clown watch is much bigger than a range man GW 9400 by the way I'm not referring to it... I think it fits my 7 inch wrist but it's the biggest I would go.. Cheers

    I have it for two years now. Honestly this is one of the best watches in the world. At this price, you have a multifunctional tank on your wrist. I also have a small wrist, but rangeman lays very nice and tight on my wrist. dw-6900 for example looks very bad on my wrist comparing to rangeman. It is perfect for outdoor and military people.

    Quick question, do you think it will be easy to change the glass, mine has several scratches and I want to change it.

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ouch!. That gotta hurt the wallet.
      Anyway, Casio add a black tape-like thing around the solar panel & glass assembly that holds tight. From my experience, the best way is to use a heat gun to melt the glue just enough that it got loose and the glass will be a bit flexible from the heat allowing it to be pressed out without breaking. Carefully, slowly and little by little at time.
      Pretty much like how people open up smartphones for repair work these days except, very gently.

      Sometimes, the E-clip just got 'hook' to the metal plate that interact with the board. Un-hook it, good to go.

      Ouch, that hurts to hear. Apparently it is almost impossible to find a replacement without breaking the bank at least. It is better to just buy a used rangeman and scrap for parts then sell the rest.

    Great Video sir...thank you for documenting this! QQ, If my goal is to just replace the polarised film to negative (black), would I still need to disconnect the white housing around the screen, or could I just do it without messing with that? I hope that makes sense...Thanks in advance for your help

    Thanks for this very well done video! Question: Where exactly is the part hidden that turns the digits yellowish on this model? The readability is not very good, so I would like to either change the polarizer to a clear one or find another background reflector. Just don't know where the colour is build in. Or is it the glass of the LCD itself that is tinted? I do like the negative display. But I know there is the GW-9400BJ-1JF which is very costly, but has just the right display for me (negative AND clear white digits). Thanks for any advice on how to modify it (if at all possible)!

    • @gshockhighfashion
      @gshockhighfashion  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually the colors comes
      from the background reflector which was glued behind the back polarizer. Sometimes, it is polarizer itself. No way to tell unless you try to peel it off a bit from a corner and check the polarizer colors.
      These polarizer is pretty easy to get. But just be careful not to scratch the glass or the connection segments.

    Hello friend! Another great and informative video coming from you! I am planning to swap the module of my olive green Rangeman(negative display) with my regular black (with positive display) I have a question that I like to ask you I hope you dont mind. Is it necessary to totally remove the sensor first (just like you did in 8:25) before removing the module?? Cant it just be pushed inside so we dont have to detach the sensor from it's connection?? Pls reply and advice me on what to do thank you in advance.

    Dude watch your finger at 13:52 there's a small spring wandering. I personally don't like the negative display version of the rangeman. I tried it out and I could barely see it. I got a DW6900 LU3 with negative display and it looks just fine. Casio must improve that display on the rangeman being on a higher price range is just wrong imo.
