The spring is to prevent static build up between the metal parts by making sure they have a zero potential difference . Static build up could ultimately cause a spark that in a high risk environment would be a problem. It also prevents the inside of the watch being damaged by static and a PD of levels small voltage chips would not tolerate . Electronic principles 101 pure and simple

In my opinion, this watch strikes the perfect balance between size, functionality, and style (also price but everyone has a different budget). I've been doing a lot of research on this watch, but I can't seem to find anyone who has disassembled it to such degree and detail. More so when I am curious about where this model's engine is made, nobody seems to be able to answer me, only you opened it up to show us. This only makes me more sure that this is the watch I'm going for. Big thanks! I just really wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your videos.
The function and the built really fits to the aviation theme that this model was based on. I personally still favouring the GA-1100 over this one. I can’t explain why, it is just is. For the price, they’re pretty low as well just recently. I remember these model were pretty costly few years ago.

Where can I find the replacement glass I have broken my watch and can’t see the time ..
I believe that the timer was initially 24-hours but they limited it to 60 minutes for some reason. In timer mode "OH" is absent on the top screen like in the stopwatch mode. Like the W-96H, it's a matter of soldering on the IC circuit to enable the 24-hour timer on this.
Is there any tutorial or something that show how to perform this mod?
@@gshockhighfashion haven't seen any but only a matter of time untill someone figured out like they did with he Casio W-96H and W-800H.

Mine has a sticking second hand. Do you know what causes this, or how to fix it?
Need more explanation than that. It could simply be bent or rusty/dusty gears. You'll need to inspect the interior further to find out the cause.
10:31 do you know what those metal tabs are? One of mine fell out and I can’t find it. Is it something that will effect the functionality of it ?
I can't tell either. The thin metal sheets didn't connect to anywhere. For all I know it might be there just to support the C-Clip. Making the button construction tougher or probably for antimagnetic structure of some sort. You should be fine.
But do let me know if anything bad happen, I'm still learning about all these interior components as well.

I would recommend a GA-1100 over this or the recent release GRB-100 instead. This one is great if you found them at a low price.
Hi do you know how to clip the front bezel back into place as mine has come out of place
Remove the bezel screws and push the bezel in then tighten the screws.

You'll need to AC reset it first after battery swap.

Just wanna ask you what could possibly be wrong with my GA-1000. It sat inside my closet for some 7 months due to the strap broke. Not realizing the battery died while it was tucked away in my drawer. By the time my replacemet strap arrived that's when I foumd out that the battery is dead. So I went to the Watch Store here at our local mall. I had the 2 batteries replaced, but it didn't work properly. Only the analog hands were moving but there's no way that I could be able to set it and the buttons aren't working also.
I think the person who replaced the batteries of your watch, didn't do a good job and also placed the module wrongly inside of the case. You should either perform the battery change again yourself or ask a qualified person to do it.
