Before people go replicating this diet, consider your height, muscle-mass and activity levels first. The Edge is not in the same situation as the average joe who's just trying to stay healthy.
I was the Chef that cooked his meal plan for him back then. Nutrition Solutions is one of my top 3 jobs ever. 165 lb weight loss for me eating this way and working out with my team twice a week. It's always nice to see people who are more normal in that they don't think late junk food is gross and that it really is hard to talk yourself out of that stuff. I accept that people exist who are genuinely like "ew cake is gross", but that superhero mentality isn't gonna help the average person who accidently drools a little when they see Tacobell coming out with some new Chalupa, but needs to get healthy. Average people can't just wake up and be like "I only like raw spinach and blueberries now...eezy peezy."
I've always liked Edge I would have to say he was one of my favorite heels in the business. bumping up the protein in the context of a cut is more important than a context of a surplus. carbs are protein-sparing, so when you're in a calorie surplus you dont need to go as people think they do. but a calorie deficit, higher protein so you hold onto as much muscle as you can while losing weight (assuming a person is already lean)
Too true. I mean there's nothing exotic with the food he's eating, but the damn prep time is what throws a lot of people off. Or the cost of having the stuff shipped in.

I ate ground turkey and plain broccoli for 3 months and dropped a ton of weight. Only cost me $36 a week for food. People will always find an excuse if you want it bad enough you’ll go for it
You don't need to pay a ridiculous amount to get a clean diet. You can spend like $20-$40 depending on what meat, vegetables and snack you buy. It's all about research and what you like and being consistent. It's not hard
Can't say for america but normally vegs, chicken, oats, rice and eggs are cheap. And that's all you need to get healthy/fit... don't think it'll be more than 10$ a day. If you're not in a hurry or massive don't need supplements

I loved when Edge said.." Just put effort into it." Sure if i had money for a meal prep company too to make my 5 meals a day i could put that simple effort too!! Lol. Guy looks like a beast though!
Edge talking about how you can't "out train a bad diet" reminded me of something someone said about Ric Flair during the 1980s. I don't recall the exact words used, but the person said that if Flair's diet was as disciplined as his daily workout was, he would have had a body as cut as Rick Rude's or Paul Orndorff's. But Flair liked to eat and drink whatever he wanted.
I was thinking about this. Yes it is expensive, but Edge did not start his career from a wealthy family. Maybe next time, Edge needs to share his other, earlier diets, and how they transformed into this meal prep. The more money he made, the more he spends on a healthier lifestyle.
Paying meal prep companies is expensive but the content isn’t really. Eggs, Chicken breast, rice, protein shake, oats, green vegetables are the core of this diet and they’re all pretty inexpensive. If you can’t afford steak, switch it out for some sea bass or salmon which is cheaper with a better higher protein to calorie ratio
