- Okay it's not actually "Full" because it's missing most dungeon themes. I didn't really see a good way to do covers of those since it's mostly atmosphere with sample libraries. Kind of hard to recreate using just a soundfont.
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Original Soundtrack with Chrono Cross soundfonts.
I made this soundfont myself.
Please consider supporting me on ko-fi! I love making SoundFonts - it is very time consuming and tedious, so any amount of support is greatly appreciated! If you become a supporter, you can also get access to soundfonts that I make so that you can use them yourself for your own projects!
You can also download all of my covers.

Everyone, I'm so sorry. I totally forgot Kokiri Forest. As soon as I can I will upload a separate video covering Kokiri Forest with Chrono Cross Soundfont. Please forgive me.
You've got nothing to apologize for, this is a really cool video
haha I was scouring the tracklist for Kokiri Forest, too. It's all good, though
Where is it at hmm?
I can´t forgive you 😭😭😭😭
That's really amazing! I hope you could do in a future the dungeon tracks too (I wish so much to listen Forest Temple with this soundfont).
Thanks for this amazing gift!
Maybe one day!
THIS IS SO SICK
3 seconds in and best thing I've ever heard in my life
What a strange mix of nostalgia.
Thank you for this, this is perfect for writing
really cool concept for a music content channel keep it up.
Thank you very much! I also make (or sometimes extract) all of the soundfonts myself!
Twinrova was always one of my favorite themes and this is just magical sounding...they all are.
Well done! Thank you for doing this.
Thanks, the pleasure's all mine!
I was waiting for the whole thing so I could listen to them all at once, they sound awesome
Any idea if you're gonna be doing more games with this soundfont after this?
My next project doesn't use this soundfont, but after that I'm going to do Majora's Mask!
@@SoundFontGuy awesome! I look forward to hearing your next project.
legendary games combined brilliantly!
damn son 10/10
So surreal listening to this almost like it came from a dream. Excellent work.
This sounds really lovely ❤
Ganon's tower is just superb
Beautiful, simply…amazing! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
This is super cool for doing to most of all the songs
Truly... perfection...
Some of these are nice, but it feels like there is a missing dynamic variation that would be desirable here.
That said, the highs are highs, Gerudo Valley is incredible in this font, Goron City and Fairy Fountain are good. Interested in hearing your next project!
Thank you for the feedback! I hope to get a little better with each release. I've already learned from some of the mistakes I made on this one. I think the best tracks are the ones in which I diverged the most from the original and got creative. Most of the tracks in OOT are very compact in that they use so few instruments, even in the "bigger" songs. The Chrono Cross font would shine a lot brighter if I applied it a bit better. Next time around, things are going to be better!
Dang, this is awesome
Soundfont guy is the man 💪
great work!
Thank you!
Huge fan
oh i love this
The organ for Ganon's Tower sounds like it came out of Final Fantasy IX.
Cool idea! How was the mapping or matching of sounds determined? For example, in the Title Screen - piano > harp... ocarina > harmonica (or whatever those are 🙂). Do you go through each sound and decide which are most similar? Or does a software set them by default based on numbers given to each sound?
That's a great question! In most cases, I chose instruments that were most similar to the original song. However in some cases, like the title screen, I chose to use sounds that I thought were really iconic from the Chrono cross OST - so that it would be immediately recognizable as CC soundfont.
I love this, but can I be real with you? I'd really prefer the inverse, Chrono Cross OST in Zelda soundfont
seconded
Definitely something to think about! The reason I did this was because I've always loved the Chrono Cross instruments, so I painstakingly extracted them all from the game disc, and then performed the tedious task of turning every single one of those instrument sounds into a usable soundfont. Then I wanted to showcase the soundfont because I was so proud of the work I'd done, so I used it for a cover of the Title Theme of Ocarina of Time, then that evolved into doing the whole OST like this. Ultimately the goal was to utilize the CC soundfont for something beloved like this.
That said, doing the CC OST using OOT's soundfont would be a huge task, but not an impossible one! Thanks for your comment!
@@SoundFontGuy Chrono Cross is truly one of the greatest soundtracks, the sheer variety of instruments give it so much style
What is soundfont?
Think of the instruments that are most commonly used in a game. Botw has piano, Majora has trumpets. In the context of video games, soundfont refers to the commonly used instruments in the ost (older games didn’t have enough space to store full recordings, so instead music was programmed in and played real time by simulated instruments). This means that certain instruments are recognizable as “what the game sounds like”. I’m sure you’ve heard the iconic oot piano, using that piano in other music could be considered changing the “font”. Tl,dr- like text, it reads the same but looks (sounds) different.
@@noviolam2618 So this playlist in particular, is Ocarina of Time songs that "sound like" Chrono Cross due to using the simulated instruments from that game?
@@fayfay961 yep yep! Exactly! If pretty fun listening to old music “with a new coat of paint” right?
@@noviolam2618 Wow amazing ! thank u
What a nice comment thread...

Hey, really sorry about that! First post on this page is the folder with all of my current soundfonts. The google drive link won't fit. Thanks for letting me know!

This is so cool! Nice work!
Awful day for rain...
Castle termina town
Where is Kokiri Forest? Am I blind?
I've made a terrible mistake
The Ice Cavern theme also seems to be missing, I think.
@@neonfatum Most dungeon music was intentionally skipped due to the nature of the sample usage in the original!
@@SoundFontGuy Oh yeah, I see! It is very ambient music for the most part so that makes sense!
@@SoundFontGuy you've met with a terrible fate
sorry is this an AI mix music?
No! Absolutely not!
