    The trivia fact that there is an annual memorial service that is held all around Hyrule for all the animals people use for medicinal purposes is easily the most interesting fact on this list for me! That's confirmation of an actual Hyrulean holiday! And it's such a creative one too!

      Also, in Holodrum they have Christmas. Probably. Or equivalent. They have Santa at least. Maybe it'd be celebrating the birthday of the first Zelda, Hylia incarnate.
      And I think in the comics, they had the Day of the Triforce every decade. A day where it, for some reason, temporarily disappears.

      Though actually, only a small amount of the water goes through the interior of the Domain. Up at the fountain itself, most of the water goes out through a palisade of logs and down the Sleepless Waterfall. So it's more accurate to say only the water that flows through the throne room and the Domain goes under King Zora's Balls :)

    One of my favorite things about OoT was how organic the dungeons felt. The Fire Temple being inside Spectacle Rock is a good example of that. Or how with the Spirit Temple, you're literally scaling the giant rock that contains the Goddess of the Sand, and the items are found on the hands. I think it's one of the reasons the OoT dungeons have stuck with me for so long.

    • @Knightmessenger
      @Knightmessenger 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      According to beta content remaining on a f zero x development cartridge, the text references the statue as being Din. The Gerudo worshipped Din but the final version of the game replaced it with a more vague Goddess of the Sand, leading people to wonder if the Gerudo believed in a different deity entirely from the creators of the triforce.

    I definitely think the Composer Brothers are Sheikah. They don't seem young enough to only have been born after Impa opened the village to regular people, they specifically talk about being "born to serve the Royal Family" which is something the Sheikah take particular pride in, and the fact that they're researchers studying the power of the Royal Family mirrors the way the Sheikah are depicted as being keepers and seekers of secret knowledge in most of the games.

    • @SaitohYatate
      @SaitohYatate ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The Sheikah were essentially the Zelda universe's interpretation of the Iga ninja, who were loyal servants of the shogunate. Although it's not until BotW that this fact is explicitly shown to the players. Impa (and Zelda, after Impa shared her some of her knowledge during the timeskip) being the only one who upholds that image, hints that the Sheikah talked about in the Hero of Time's lifetime had been in decline for a long time.
      It's possible that the Composer Brothers used some kind of jutsu (the folkloric/Futaro Yamada type, because Naruto didn't exist back when OoT was released) to preserve their consciousness as ghosts until someone worthy of serving the Royal Family showed up.
      The Mask of Truth, Lens of Truth, and Gossip Stones are all tiny little evidences of the plethora of jutsu the Sheikah would use for surveillance/espionage.

    Speaking of Dark Link, I think Shiek knew about him. He gives Link a hint about it while teaching him the Serenade of Water, saying, "Reflect upon yourself." It's possible that Zelda had a prophetic dream about the fight, or went to the Water Temple herself and encountered her own reflection.

    I grew up playing the original (8-Bit) Zelda, moved on the “The Adventures of Link” and loved that too!
    The switch to SNES accompanied with “A link to the Past” was probably the most impressive advancement I‘ve experience in the video game world…
    That was until the “Ocarina of Time” came out on the Nintendo64. That was literally a ‘Game changer!’ (Pun intended) The amount of memory and processing was outstanding for that time.
    The only other game I experienced that would be even close to that, was Mario64. Having said that, once playing OoT, I soon forgot about Mario and was completely enthralled with the new Hyrule!
    In just 2 days, OoT will be 24 years old! And it’s playability today is just as impressive and fun!
    I love each and every Zelda game for many, but different reasons..But for my money, this was the game that changed the way/future of what would be ‘The Legend of Zelda’ forever!
    Had they not made such an amazing game when the 64 came out, who knows….Perhaps another open world game would have fed the hunger that so, so many people had back then!
    I Love the ‘Ocarina of Time’ and love the videos you’ve created on such an amazing game!
    Great job Zeltik!

    I think with kaepora not knowing about the ability to travel through time is easily explained actually. Rauru only talks to link after the 7 year gap so any knowledge rauru had would only be known during the adult era, therefore in the past when link is a child rauru (and kaepora since they are the same) would not know about the time traveling since rauru does not travel through time.

    Also, when Link is an "adult" (he's still 16-17), and following the line of "Gerudo will kidnap Hylian men to reproduce", you can see why he's placed in a cell different from everyone else. He's not there to be killed, he's probably there to.... well, use your imagination.

    This reminds me of something I recently noticed. In a lot of games in the Zelda series, including Ocarina, Lake Hylia just happens to have two islands close together, often with hidden caves inside them. And in Ocarina, Link Between Worlds, and the original, the easternmost of these islands happens to has a dungeon on, inside, or under it. What's especially notable about Ocarina is that its eastern island has a large, gnarled tree, just like the one the island's dungeon in the original game is found under.

    Regarding the Sheikah and their whereabouts, I remember reading a story that theorizes that the Sheikah were executed by the King soon after the civil war had ended on the behest of Ganondorf to form an allegiance with Hyrule and end the war.
    Basically since the Sheikah were the Royal Family's shadows and did all their dirty work from spying to assassination, Ganondorf proposed to the king to get rid of the Sheikah if he wanted to end the bloodshed and bring peace to Hyrule. The king conceded and only let Impa live as she was a direct attendant of the queen and by extend Zelda. Though Impa begged the king to have mercy, he still proceeded to execute every single Sheikah, including a young man who was close friends with Impa and was named Sheik (the same Sheik Zelda turns into when hiding from Ganondorf), saying to the people of Hyrule that they were responsible for the war in the first place and betrayed the royal family. This is considered the betrayal of the Royal Family towards the Sheikah and the few who survived added the tear to their eye symbol and left Hyrule for good, leaving only Impa who took care of baby Zelda.

    Crazy Majora's Mask Theory: The owner of the Poe Shop in Ikana Canyon is actually Saria. Since Majora's Mask is the "Child Timeline" Link never visited the Forest Temple and met the Poe Sisters. The Majora's Mask Poes all have the same names and if they really weren't "evil," by Majora's Mask they were probably just looking to go to the Afterlife. Saria always had a connection with the Forest Temple and knew that Link would be visiting Ikana in the near future. That also explains why the Poe Shop owner knows who Link is and doesn't mention how and why the owner will "spare" Link at 3 hearts
