well done on routeing the harness , ive got a couple more months to go on mine , doing a 84 k10 with front clip from 70s style . will be putting a freshend up lq4 in it with drive by cable . i will definetly be routing the harness same as you now tho , thanks for sharing !
I kept the 700r4 trans that came with the truck. It bolts right up. I believe the tcase will bolt up to a 4l60e though. You will need to put a speed sensor in the square body tcase or the trans won’t shift
It’s a 4 in kit that I made into a basically a 5 inch kit with spare parts I had lying around. They’re 4 inch front springs with a few more leafs in them. The rear has a 4 inch block with an add a leaf
I used some adjustable mounts that I got off eBay. They are basically the same design as the Dirty Dingo mounts. I recommend Dirty Dingo over the cheap crap. But the frame will still interfere with the AC compressor. I don't usually run AC on any of my swaps but you have to get the AC compressor relocation bracket. That's a way better option than cutting the frame.
@@boswell608 my dads friend is a GM mechanic for 40 years he cold rolled it with large adjustable wrenches . rolled steel is stronger than flat . and its fwd of motor mount so i was going to give it a shot just wanted to know if it looked close to fitting
@@afriendtoleanon3401 Yeah, it would probably be close but you still might have to trim a bit. There's not a lot of room between the block and the frame. But like I said, I don't do many swaps with AC so I'm not completely sure. You'll have to try it out. Let me know how it goes.
Did u figure out what was pushing the power steering hose off ?
In my country, we are changing the engine to a Japanese engine of 3000 or 3500 size Toyota 2G engines
Oh that's the pressure line 🤦🏿♂️ clamp ain't hold that ! I see now !

84 with 70 style front end???
What do u mean 70 front end???
Well done? Thats the worst job on a ls swap ive ever seen. He says thats his 4th one? WTF?
Make sure to get a shroud or it can overheat at slow speeds. You can also convert it to electric fans and use a PWM controller
Got my sub
Did you swap the transmission? If so did the original transfer case fit on the new trans? I’m about to ls swap my 77k10

Nice build bro
Krazo buildZ thanks!
@@boswell608 can I just use the stock wiring harness instead of cutting it down
@@chancecolwell3823 you can but it’s a lot easier to cut it down. It will definitely look a lot better
@@boswell608 ok thanks
@@boswell608 can you do a video on how you hooked up the drive by wire
Great vid not sure if it is true heard something about 87+ trucks got baffling in the fuel tank to stop fuel sloshing for fuel injected motors
Nice video a lot of good information, which city/ state are you located in?
Thank you. Michigan
What headers do you have ?
They’re just the factory manifolds
Your truck is long bed right?
Yeah
Can you do a video on where to hook up the wires from the bulkhead
Yeah. I can make another in depth video in the spring
What lift kit do you have on this truck? Looks like flat springs, as opposed to the reverse arch stock springs I currently have

Thank you.
what are the bars for in the engine bay ?
The core supports were rotted out so I welded those in to stop the front clip from bouncing around
I believe that there's a place that makes a line pressure reducer kit for the older GM steering boxes. th-cam.com/video/CQuNkSDSNCs/w-d-xo.html
You can take that out of your original power stearing pump
5:23 THE EXHAUST LOL
what motor mounts did you go with and can you fit the stock ac compressor if you cold bend the frame to the holes that are in it .

Did you use the stock engine cross member?
Yes. I had to notch a section to clear the oil pan
