Yes, it's an activation code that comes on a card. You just type it in when you install it. And if you install it on a third machine, it automatically will log out the other computers.
@@cinnamontography94 I have it on 3 computers all that happens is it will tell me something like I have reached my limit but I can still activate it and it will deactivate one of the other machines .So you can go back and forth . Just keep your key handy .
Thank you for saying that I am looking why the video was not coming over just audio. I got a camera from second hand and it shoots in 4 120 10bit I like because of more opinion in editing.
I looked into ways to like transfer it so that I can actually do it but it's like it takes so much longer and for somebody who's trying to do more editing more efficiently I just think it was better to just buy DaVinci Resolve so I wouldn't have to deal with trying to convert everything will file I did
I just tested the free app on my 2020 iPad Pro (A12Z) and footage from all my 10 bit 4.2.2 cameras can import, edit and export. FX3, A7IV, DJI Pocket 3 and my X100VI files worked fine. Super confused right now haha
When people talk about DaVinci resolve almost 100% of the time they're talking about desktop class DaVinci resolve not an iPad app. Don't be confused, it isn't that hard
DaVinci “Lifetime” I bought DaVinci 17 just a few years ago and upgraded to 18 for free. But that’s where it ends. Have to buy 19 now at full price. So, not really lifetime. Unless there is a way to get a discount for owning a previous version?
I have no clue how that happened. I bought at 17 as well. 19 is still in beta. Maybe you accidentally download DaVinci Resolve 19 Public Beta 3, and not DaVinci Resolve Studio 19 Public Beta 3? I've been using the Studio version of 19 beta just fine with nothing popping up about my license code.
No problem, and I updated from this page under the latest download section: Blackmagicdesign.com/support And after you click your operating system for downloading, it will pop up a bunch of stuff that looks like you need to fill in personal info, but at the bottom left corner you can just click "download only" and it will start the download. Hope that helps too!
I've seen in other videos on this topic that the paid version works better in terms of lagging, but I haven't tested it yet. If your computer isn't powerful enough, it might not make a huge difference, but again, I haven't tried.
I know this is an old video but as someone who is a freebie freak and can't afford the big stuff to just test them out, getting half way through the video and you kinda haven't gotten into the actual big differences really sucks, I personally really wanted to know "what does paid have over free? is there things missing from free that are debilitating" we are talking about a program that's 300$ and you own it, and you're talking about a camera worth more than that, I surely understand it's something some people have issue with but I'm not able to afford a camera like that anyway, letalone a computer, I want to look into it for if/when I get one, not niche issues but rather just a look into "this is what it does, it will get you through and I can assure you" like of course the camera issue is a bad problem for people who bought those high tech cams for those features, but this is said to be "an indepth review" and it's 8 minutes with the only thing I've heard thus far being the issue of a camera I don't and won't own.
judging by the title, I thought you were going to give better information than the rest of the videos you were criticizing, boy was I wrong... not only you didn't give the information you implied in the intro, but the video feels like you are just trying to convince or motivate us to buy the software
Don't worry, I am already editing second movie with free version, no problem. 10bit colours work just fine, I just made a videoclip shot on 10bit camera. Some features like "remove object" would be nice, but you can pretty easily do it in fusion anyway.. 🙂

Well you can´t edit 10 bit in free version, so you are probably just losing the PRO quality..
