when i play my video without draging on timeline its buffering and when i drag it on timeline its play good . mine footage was 100p and mine project was 60p. And some time audio cannot adjust with beats.

I just subed , you made my timeline lightning fast . The problem is now when I render it say 12 hrs 😂. Please help what did I do ? Or what can I do to speed it up .

7:18 I think that when you take into consideration the use case for upscaling 240p or 360p video - sort of "rescuing" really old videos from 10, 15, 20 years ago - or a use case where a 360p scan was made 15 years ago of, say, a historical film from the first half of the 20th century, and it's being upscaled to 4k - that outcome from really looks fine - not when you can compare the exact same footage as a 1440 -> 4k upscale, of course, but when you consider that there is plenty of source video that never was more than 360 to begin with, that's a really nice improvement. Again, not great if you compare the 1440 to the 4k - but if you compared the 4k upscale with the 240/360p original just zoomed to fit the frame, the improvement would be astonishingly good, I think.

1:28 bloody hell, I just assumed that amount was reserved for Premiere pro so I had it set to 64Gb. Turns out it's the other way around, it's reserved for OTHER applications! Well, that's my laggy editing problem sorted. Thanks

Hey man just wanted to say that this is by far the best optimization video I've found on youtube for Davinci. I went back to some particularly heavy edits I've done to compare what I went through vs what could've been if I had known about some of these things. Complete night and day. Especially that ROI box in Fusion, I'm going to be getting SO much use out of that thing.

video clean feed isnt available all the time, when im working on two monitors and for some reason i switch to some other app, then this function stiops working and clean feed option also vanishes

Just installed Davinci Resolved 19 (FREE), my drivers / graphic cards are all update already via "Intel Driver and Support Assistant" program, and Davinci Resolved 19 doesn't even open, it directs me straight into the settings. My screen does not show the "Decode Options" > "Decode H.264/H.265 using hardware acceleration" > "Intel Quick Sync" break downs that everyone is saying you must put on in order to use this video editing software. So where can I find or activate this? I am not a full-on professional editor; I just need to do very basic things for Instagram reels and social media for my online business. My Spec: Intel i7 -8550U CPU / RAM 16GB / Intel UHG Graphics 620 I see several people referring to the Windows BIOS setting change from an old post...no idea how to find that and edit it. Which setting specifically needs to be changed in order for us Windows users with Intel HD graphic cards to use this software? If this is not possible, which video editing software (Preferably Free) would be a great alternative to use?

You can actually use three monitors, the two as described here and, if your video card has an HDMI out, you can feed a full-size screen image to that

Im going to rewatch as i setup resolve to each setting. It just doesnt want to run very well at all and within very little time project becomes basically dead and wont do anything and typically crashes. Trying to use it on laptopsurface studio pro, ada2000, 16gb. May be too old already? Looking at one wih 64gb ran and 4060, but doesnt seem to ve much difference between ada2000 and 4060 both with 8gb vram. Reallly wanting tj play around more with resolve but guess just dobt have it set up right. So ultimately i end up using premiere pro and no proxies and just works fine and get project done quickly. Just lacks some of the cooler effect stuff in resolve. So i create creative things other ways via layers and blending. Hopefully i cant get it runniig since i bought paid version. Also seems i need to set up a little project server too since i switch between my surface laptop, a full on windows desktop and my m1 mac.

I wasn't sure which one yo use as a beginner, but after your explanation, I know what I can start on and what I can try in the future. Thank you!!!

I've bought recently Smallrig for the same Fuji as you have and no issue with that. However locking screw was broken from first time I took it from and now I don't know where to find another screw with the same "head" and size.

This is a fantastic video.. thanks for the astounding clarity!!! Got my undergrad degree in R/TV 40 yrs ago and worked as an intern at the PBS TV station run by the university and worked in the control room as a student director. I saw the spectrascopes and the color graph monitors for all the cameras.. never never touched them - the union chief would have them chopped off ;-) and had no clue what their purpose was (other than make all color cams the same) and how to use them. I shortly changed careers when I found liked computer science and it was a better career then the ultra competitive TV biz. Fast forward 40 yrs, I retired (5 yrs ago) and just got back into my video days - I now know what they are and how they were used AND.. I can play with them on my DaVinci Resolve Studio!!! HOW GREAT IS THAT!!! 😍 Your video has brought back some great memories of my old school TV days and empowered me to amp up my video editing game today.. thanks again!
