    Marzocchi fork, not Showa. And your rear tire size is 180/60 17. Accurate information about your bike, equipment, & just general motorcycle knowledge will greatly help your credibility. It may eventually help you buy some gloves or those socks you want... Good luck. - A fellow SF848 owner & track day rider.

      The 848 forks are Showa, and mine look exactly the same, I just assumed they were. I'll make sure to memorize what I'm going to talk about before I record. =)

    This bike is nothing like the Monster other than the forks. Different frame, swingarm, engine. Basically everything.

      Cool, maybe I'll borrow a supersport again. I'm in California, but my streetfighter never ran hot in the summers here.

    Can I ask where you purchased the comfort seat from? I have a 2014 sf 848 and can't seem to find the "comfort seat" that everyone talks about

    70th subscriber! Just stumbled into your channel since I miss my 2013 Ducati SF848 sorely and was just randomly searching for SF848 videos. Would you mind sharing your V-log setup? The audio and video quality is top notch (maybe the camera can be angled down a tad bit so the viewer can see the dash all the time for a context), I felt I was back on the bike again. BTW the most awesome aspect of the SF848 ownership is actually the quick shifter (which very few owners put on, wondering why...), with the Termi cans you have, a high-rpm shift with the DQS would come with a loud bang with flames, totally awesome, I've yet to replicate the effect on any other bike. I'd totally keep the SF848 or move onto a lower mile one if I were you... Also I test rode the new 939 Supersport S over the weekend, mind-blowing handling, felt like an extension of your body, you should totally try it, but coming from SF848 you may find the new 939 too tame... Anyways keep the awesome videos coming! Greetings from rainy Portland, OR...

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for subscribing! What's V-log?
      Ok I'll adjust the camera for easier viewing next time.
      I wanted the DQS but never purchased it. I would just speed shift and let off the throttle by hand.
      I may demo one, but really want something with a crap ton of power.

      the police arent allowed to chase the little shits who come along and steal it! And when they are caught they only get 2 months in prison! 16,000 bikes were stolen in london last year. The little shits just do not care! you seen the video on them trying to steal panigale in broad daylight in the middle of london?

    Hey man, thanks for your review. Have you had a chance to try sf 1098? What you can say about it? I just sold my Hayabusa and looking for a SF. I'm afraid 848 will be too weak after a busa. On the other hand I moved to a small town and 848 could be enough.

      I just came back to this video as I'm about to buy this bike in yellow, 2.3k MILES! HOW! lol. And I see a comment from me from five years ago, wild. I totaly agree the S1000r/r is the best 4i. And triples have a great noise, gotta love a daytona or triple speed! Lots of love riders from the past to the future lol.

      Heating point goes to 5 point in no time..
      Since i bought i did change coolant but didn't change oil

    Cool video man. I loved my sf848, great for tall guys, highly recommend the rizoma ma008 for it, made the bike perfect for comfort and wrist angle

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I'm pretty tall and it fits me very well. I never did get bars though. Now I'm thinking about selling it and getting something new.

    • @diyducati8252
      @diyducati8252 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Canyon Corse yea I'm 6'3 and those bars made the SF perfect. I wound up upgrading to a monster 1200s, great bike as well but you get ohlins and ABS

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      How do you like it? I'm thinking about the Monster R.

    • @diyducati8252
      @diyducati8252 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Canyon Corse I like it a lot. I felt the sf848 had more leg room but I got the comfort seat, rizoma bars and rizoma adjustable pegs and that helped. I think the monster R is taller so that should be good. I will say the bike absolutely rips in second gear. Power drops off around 8-9k while on sf higher 11k. My friends with 1000cc sportbikes all were really surprised how hard the monster pulls in 2nd gear. Other than that I love the bike, I had the ohlins setup for my weight (I have the S model) and it's probably the best handling bike I've owned. The power feels plush and all around great bike. It felt heavier tho (as it is) than the sf but when I had the suspension professionally tuned to my weight it felt like it lost 20lbs. You will def feel the power diff too against your sf848. It's a better bike long distance too I feel also if you ever want to take a passenger. Aside from that it has the panigale brakes which stop on a dime and really good ABS. The ABS detects if The rear is about to come up during hard braking and will pulsate the brakes more to prevent it from lifting up. The tech is really good on it.

    hey man just found your channel it's awesome. I'd love to see you review a MV Agusta f3. thanks man keep up the good work! also, how much does this bike cost to run like maintenance and what not.

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks dude! I'd like to ride one, maybe I will soon. A friend of a friend had one and it was breaking all the time. I almost bought a leftover F4 last year. My streetfighter is around $240 for 6 months of insurance. It needs the valve adjustment every 15k miles. Costs around $1000. I paid more because I took it to a dealer.

    Nice video Canyon Corse. Was thinking about swapping my Street Triple Rx in for a streetfighter. Did you get the servicing done by a Ducati? I hear that it costs a bomb but then Triumph arent exactly cheap!

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Christian! That new Street Triple RX is pretty sweet though! I got my major service at the Ducati dealer, in case my tank had expanded from the ethanol in the gas. The minor services are probably the same price, but every 15k miles you need the valves checked. If you ride a shit ton of miles, the Triumph is probably better. But they need valves check too right?

    • @christianvere7877
      @christianvere7877 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Canyon Corse cheers for getting back to me. It is a very sweet ride but the streetfighter keeps calling to me!
      I only commute 15 mile round trip in London so wouldn't be a huge amount of miles and a shit load of stop start. Very envious of the Cali roads and weather you get to enjoy!

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should get one! Or maybe the 1098 version. The stopping and starting isn't as smooth as a triumph, but you can get use to it. I'll make sure to post more of our riding spots.

    • @noiox8
      @noiox8 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you make the switch yet? I was in the same shoes as you last year, yet ended up owning both the Rx and SF848 briefly. It's a hard pick between the Rx's telepathic handling and SF848's raw awesomeness... I kinda wish I still have the SF848, too bad I crashed it on a rainy day and it has no ABS to save my noob ass... something for you to consider since you commute in rainy England... I lived in Brum for 3 months late 2015, definitely saw more Triumphs than Ducatis in the rain...

    • @christianvere7877
      @christianvere7877 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Rx is up for at the moment but mainly because my insurance renewal came in and went from £600 to £1900! you dont even want to know what they quoted me for a SF! Sadly the price of living in London were bike crime is up 400% in 2 years

    Thoughts about the gas tank issues with these? There's one for sale near me for 8900 with 500 miles on it. The seat on these are torture devices. Have you ever ridden two up?

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      My tank never expanded. My friend with a 1098 has his expand at 40k miles, and it was warranted. I use the comfort seat so you don't slide forward, much more comfortable. I've ridden two up before. the ladies didn't complain, but we didn't travel far either.

    • @zachmarkham84
      @zachmarkham84 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Canyon Corse is there any way to prevent the expansion of the tank?

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some guys get the inside coated with some kind of epoxy, but then Ducati won't warranty it. If it ever does expand, you can drain it and let it sit with the cap open for a few weeks, and it will go back to normal. But I wouldn't worry about it too much, I have almost 22k on mine, and it's still perfect.

    • @zachmarkham84
      @zachmarkham84 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Canyon Corse awesome, thanks. also, using non ethanol gas helps, right?

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea, if you use it the tank won't expand at all afaik. That is, if you can get it.

    dude, i need to know how much change your topspeed with this back qickchange sprocked, original teeth is 42, you got 44teeths, original top speed is 260km/h, how much with 44teeths???? i want more teeths too but i dont know how much it change?

    • @canyoncorse9461
      @canyoncorse9461  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      So instead of going one down on the front, I went two up on the back. My shop said it would reduce top speed by 4mph. I never go that fast anyway.

      I'm also thinking of changing the gearing with two more teeth on the rear, but doesn't this mess the TC up?
      I always turn the TC off but just want to know for sure.
