Ha, you had my same exact 'Desmo-evolution'. From Monster to SF. I had a M695, black fuel tank and wheels, red frame with full exhaust and ECU racing kit. I loved it, but when I saw the reveal of this bike 3 years later, the 1098, I was like 'WTF is this? Are you kidding me?'. 9 years later I've been able to buy mine...found a full optional one, one of the last produced, and took it home. Everytime I open my garage it puts a smile on my face, and even if it's not the perfect bike, I would not change it with anything else.
I saw you're falling into the carbon pit too...well, welcome. I saw you put the carbon dashboard cover on...are you considering to install the fairing on it too? It helps protect the dash from sun, rain and little rocks. Highly recommended. Another recommended little piece of carbon is the upper heat shield cover, the bronze thing you can see at 3:33 in the upper-right part next to the big carbon heat shield you installed. It's around 40 to 60 dollars on ebay, depending on where they ship from. Carbon parts are very expensive, but there are several little parts like that that you can add little by little. There are several sellers that are crafting custom parts in carbon, like chain and radiator side covers.
P.S. Any luck with the engine light on the dash?

I prefer the S4r to both. But I think I could get used to the new one. Lol

Had a 959, now contemplating between one of these or a Monster Diesel edition! Love the content bro 👌🏼

Hi, now did you say that quickshifter was off a 1198s? And it’s working fine?? That would be good info to know if I heard you correctly. 👍🏻

      Yup that’s correct. It’s the same quickshifter as the sf1098, 1098, 1198, 848. I just happened to get it from a 1198s

@@DesmoMarcel I also installed it and it works perfectly.

How is this bike riding long distance? .... I looking to buy a yellow SF 848 wanted a slightly upright comfortable bike with some sportiness

Depends on what long distance is for you. It’s more comfortable then a sport bike with clip ons but still a pretty sporty upright position. I was pretty sore after a whole day of riding (8hrs)

Dude, you need carbon belt covers!

I know right!!! I was trying to hold out for Rizoma covers but I don’t think that’s going to happen
