    Thanks the 2010 Ducati 1098 Street Fighter is one of my all time favorite bikes, its aggressive, fast, and super fun!
    the ergonomics are more on the sport side, but the bike is surprisingly comfortable.
    the Sound is so deep and so well tuned its just brilliant.
    as for looks, the deep red sculpted body work is down right gorgeous!
    this review is a bit of a scatter brain dialog, LOL!

    Love this machine it's very rare but i went with ZX14R. Now still have my 14, but was time upgrade i got 2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke R. Been riding so long even with power shifter still use the clutch. Love raw power, way too much electronics today.

      I just got a ZX14R in this week, I will be doing a review on that as well, I'm excited to get out and ride it.
      Got to love the Super Duke R!
      I would agree, Im getting a bit frustrated with all the electronic controls on the newer bikes, we have a bike in the shop now with lost key phob and key code...that's a $3,000 problem where it would normally be a $20 problem Yikes!
      well that will be an up coming video series how to bypass the system, I hope!

    Great vid and beautiful example of a 1098SF. I really love that Puig windscreen and would be very happy to see one on my 848SF. I don't suppose you know anyone with one in stock (clear or smoke) in your neck of the woods that I could buy and ship to Sydney Australia? They seem to very hard pieces to find... Thanks in advance for any help you could provide. Best regards, Andrew

      For me the KTM 1090 adventure R is my favorite bike of all time, this probably has to do with the type of riding I do.
      When I sold this Ducati, I tried to buy it back, but he just would not sell it, I reached out again two months later and he had sold it to someone else, ugh...
      Great bike!!

    Great video, amazing bike, I was looking to get an 848, couldn't find one and i was looking for last couple of months, did found one 1098 , don't know if i should take it or not. is there a big diference from 848 to 1098? Thanks

    • @TRCAdventures

      here is my last Video, its the 848 th-cam.com/video/56wA8GkvC0Q/w-d-xo.html
      my favorite motor is the 1098
      the two other motor that Ducati did well is the 796 amazing motor that Video is here th-cam.com/video/tzEc5GngRBo/w-d-xo.html
      all three of these motors like to rev, and are super playful (great power band) the 848 reves to the moon and seems to love it! the 796 interesting because it has more power than the motor that replaced it (797) I do not like the 797 its soft on power.
      Back to the 1098, this is hard to explain but I cant seem to ride that bike slow, it just feels so right going through the power band you just want to keep doing it and it never feels like your pushing the motor it just goes and goes. amazing.
      is there a big difference YES the 1098 is not for a new rider, that rider can get in way over there head super quick.
      the 796 should also be on your list! what a sweet motor!!!! it can act quite civilized yet it can also go like hell!!!
      this makes for a sweet combination for a street bike, the 1098 I would probably keep for the Track!

    How would you compare this bike to the monster S4RS? in terms of power, control, style, comfort etc...?

    • @TRCAdventures
      @TRCAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally feel the 1098 motor is smother, stronger and performs with more responsive power in all rev ranges than than the S4RS, as for control I would really have to do a side by side, but my first reaction would be that the Street Fighter feels more natural and controllable than the monster configuration, as for style, it would be an individuals preference, initially I liked the monster over the street fighter, but that was before I saw the Street fighter in person, now I like the Street Fighter over the Monster. for me the Street Fighter is much more comfortable, though this one had the Sargent seat, still ergonomically it just fit me better!

    I’m debating between the 848 & 1098 for my next bike 🤔 my last bike was a 959 Panigale, so power wise would be closer to the 1098, I just heard you don’t have to maintain the 848 as much. Decisions 🤔

    • @TRCAdventures
      @TRCAdventures  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 1098 has big torque and playful power, the 848 makes power at a higher rpm, in standard mode the 848 can feel underpowered in sport mode it comes alive, the 1098 the power is always on tap. My favorite is the 1098 by a large margin, but I appreciate the 848 for it's dual manners (Clark Kent or Superman) settings.

      Ah yes the wind, definitely get an open air feel on motorcycles, a bit more on bikes with small fairings, and more on those without fairings at all! This at least has an aftermarket, small windscreen, it helps keep that wind off your chest, making longer rides much more tolerable!

      Yeah it's not the best site to behold! Ducati has addressed this issue in the newer models, by providing some protection for the rider, but those older bikes really needed something to help protect the rider at the pace the bike was capable of!
      Great bikes!
