From time to time I'll watch this video. For as long as my channel is up and as long as this video is up it will always remain as the number one favorite video on my channel. It's one of the best coming out videos I've seen and I know many people have found it very inspirational!
Takes a lot of courage to do this. I congratulate you on such an accomplishment. You let someone knoww they are not alone - and that means the world to somebody.
you're my hero. it made me cry, so hard. i'm writing a speech for state, and in my speech, i am coming out, in front of hundreds of people. you just gave me so much hope
I didn't know this video existed until now, and I'm so happy I found it because watching it brought it all back to me like it was this morning and how proud of you I was when you gave this speech! It's still my favorite chapel speech of all time.
I go to SPS right now, in the GSA lots of people were bringing up this speech because Ricky just gave his speech and it was similar to this, so I had to watch this video. It is so cool to finally watch this video. I love that most of the SPS community is relatively comfortable with this. Your speech was definitely awesome! Belated congrats!
@ihopeithinkiknow888 we did the same thing at my boarding school in GA, chapel speeches for those in the senior class who want to speak, but I wasn't ready to come out back then (plus the environment wasn't up for it then either) and I spoke about kids buying into the system instead (which was a successful speech in its own right). I'm back working there and so much has changed and some kids have done what I couldn't a few years ago. It's a beautiful thing.
@Tarhiel Thank you very much! It was recorded at my high school (St. Paul's School) in New Hampshire...in the Church there. Thank you and hope you're well!
sorry it took me so long to respond to your question! the speech was not a valedictorian speech - all seniors have the option to give a "senior speech" to the school if they would like to, and that's what this is.
Hello Nicky, Bravo! Congratulations on your coming out, very nice speech you had there. It´s nice your colleagues were so supportive. May I ask when it was recorded?
Dude you're really brave to pull something like this. In a church too. Like wow. I have to reiterate, that was really brave of you. Good job, and I hope you're doing well =]

I remember watching this multiple times in early 2014 (when I was preparing to come out). Inspiring.
It takes a lot of guts and courage to do what you did, for that I Praise You.
it seems perfect that i see this on Valentine's Day. much love to you.
Wow. I watched all three parts. Congrats on a great speech and a great song. Hopefully more people will follow your lead.
Great school!

That was an amazing video! I just recently came out to all my friends and family, and this video provided so much inspiration for me!
I watch this video at least once a month because it is awesome. Love it.
The chapel is rooted in episcopalian tradition but is non-denominational and supportive of all students' religious and/or spiritual beliefs
it was so good, it gave me shivers.fantastic.

I was there but did not stand up. And my cohorts were more than three.
I hate watching these things ssf o long after the person probably doesnt check the channel. After 11 years it makes you wonder how hes doing today.
