My 23 is a Coyote with the Torsen. Been very happy so far (and getting around 20mpg combined). Time will tell. I'm not an anti-Chevy guy, but we bought a 2018 4x4 work truck that just couldn't stay right. It soured me. Peace, Love!!
I got a trail boss, spec’ed identical to this, except with the Duramax.
Sticker was 71k but out the door I got it for 58k because it was from a mega dealership.
Tremors in my area were all at MSRP of 65-68k.
I also perfected the dash layout, and overall aggressive look of the trail boss as well.
Expensive VS Expensive.....got it 👍
After special ordering a 23 Tremor 5.0 that i had 5 months and then had to Lemon Law it. I went back to Chevy for a 24 Trail Boss 6.2. And i got it with 18’s not 20’s. Been happy so far. Has lasted longer than the Ford.
3:57 "what are thoooose!" Haha
Tremor, no question for me.
I like the trail boss styling & the good ol V8…
The Chevy has a customizable gauge cluster where the ford is what they set it at.
Tough choice indeed. I'd be happy enough with either (and thankfully the Tremor doesn't have a bad angle for the screen, this one being horizontal instead of vertical). I do think the Trail Boss has the nicer interior.
Tremor and trail boss both have two engine choices but tremor has a real locker
... and an optional front Torsen diff.
@@fabulousoffroaddesigns5080 hi buddy I'm a subscriber
The Chevy has 4 options: 2.7 Turbomax, 5.3 V8, 3.0 Duramax, and the 6.2 V8. Whereas the ford only has the 3.5 eco boost V6 and the 5.0 V8
@12thmanrailfans26 Yes but the FX-4 which is the real competitor for the Trail Boss has 4 motor options as well. The ZR-2 which has two engine options, is the proper Tremor competitor.
@@fabulousoffroaddesigns5080 ok yeah that makes more sense
Insane cars Ben !! ❤❤
Trail Boss looks better from the front, side, back, and much better inside. Aside from that, the Ford looks pretty good.
Ngl the little ford sound after start up is nice.
V8s all day.
Good comparison
what makes a better off road pickup, zero seconds on anything other than pavement
Trail boss
I'm usually more of a GM guy in general, but i would take the Tremor in this case, i think.
Most capable off road truck for offers is the raptor r. The v6 raptor is great also. With both having 4 link rear suspension.
They both a good looking truck ❤
I’ve had 2 3.5s and 2 5.0s with 145” and 157” wheelbases. The EBs are quick, no doubt, (and tow effortlessly), but after replacing a turbo at 75k, dealing with cam phaser rattling, etc, I’ll never own another. And the turbo lag was annoying to me. Plus it never delivered on the ‘eco’ in Eco boost. The 5.0 was always at least 1-2 mpg better, summer or winter. The 5.0 may give up a little on power, but it’s straight up NASCAR when deep in the throttle. Ad max tow with 3.73s and you’re not giving up much in terms of power or towing capacity to the 3.5. Plus the payload was also higher, at least in my case. I’m sure the 3.5 (and 2.7) are improved over my old 2013 and 2014, so it really all boils down to preference at this point. But for my ‘23, the 5.0 (which is now a 307 BTW) was a no brainer, far exceeding my 2011s 5.0 (302) capabilities.
How many TH-cam subscribers do you have to have before dealers let you make these kinds of videos? What are the qualifications for the job?
While the 2010's felt like the golden age of American sport/muscle cars, the 2020s definitely feel like the golden age of off road vehicles.
Of the two the Tremor looks like the better choice.
I’d go with Trail Boss but have 3.0 DuraMax just because fuel economy important to me. 6.2L is very thirsty on gas.
Chevy all day. More aggressive styling
I saved $30k by going with the Colorado Trail Boss... wow!
Tremor
GMC AT4 Carbon pro is way better
Should have prob compared v8 to v8
Tremor for me. Not much of a Chevy fan.
"Don't want no UGLY truck."
Both trucks are good for off road
Too big and heavy for off road
Uh I stopped at fuel mileage rating tremor it is. Disgusting mileage for chevy in 2024
lol sounds like you need a car.
Chevy and gmc wins right now by a long shot until ford fixes their shortage of parts missing
From an offroading perspective, comparison, ford wins hands down. The baby duramax option and better digital gauge cluster is about the only thing the Chevy has going for it.
pure bot comments on a Monday night lol. Ford bots out in full force for a trash truck
Chevy v8 all day..
Ford offers it with the coyote!
FORD. Just because of the fuel manegment system Chevy and GMC has with cylinder deactavation
Well, they're both made in 'merica, so to fully prepare a potential buyer you might include in your video how they both look on a flatbed.
Pretty sure the new tundras having issues staying on the road and the titan is discontinued so what would you suggest?
New Tundras are junk. - from a Tundra owner
@@blackcoffee730 I believe you, since they're made in America as well.
The ford tremor may look better, however the Chevy has a v8 engine, and it's in my favorite color blue, I picking the Chevy.😊😊😊.
You can get the 5.0 in the Tremor
V8 GAS GUZZLIN
@@jmc6000wished more people realized they have other options! Geez
I’ll take the Tremor with the 3.5 ecoboost. It’s faster than the Chevy 5.3 and 6.2. And also quicker than the coyote 5.0. Best engine for a half ton.
Sorry but it don't matter what trim or edition the Chevy is they all look the same except different stickers
Funny you should say that when an F150 looks like a Ranger looks like a Maverick. 😂😅😂
Nothing against the Chevy but am a Ford fan.😂
Still overpriced.
Still an absolute shame how they butchered the signature lighting on the new F150s
The Tremor V8 is the all way better than the Tremor V6
I pick the Rebel
Ford Tremor all the way
I’m sorry Ford and Dodge are going for downgraded engines and I love the v8 it’s true American sound now if Ford and Dodge kept the v8 engine then it would be a tougher decision but all and all I’m going v8 Chevy cause I’m american and nothing more or less
Ford has 3 total v8 options in the f series. How many does GM offer again?
5.0 is the standard tremor engine
The turbo engines out perform v8 in just about everything, except sound and making small parts feel bigger, if that is needed, the Coyote is available.
Tremor comes standard with the 5.0 V8. The 3.5 is an option.
Tremor has better forward visibility than Trail Boss.
I think the Chevy interior AND exterior look better. But the Ford drives better and is more comfortable IMO.
Tremor
