Moore, I'm new with kayaks. Amazing prime is selling this same model for $129. Sounded to goo tho be true. Saw reviews about the sorry pedal drive needing to be replaced. What do you think? .is it worth it?
Without reverse it would be worthless in my opinion. It looks great and very stable, but for bass fishing I need to be able to keep my position when fishing in wind and wake. I would just buy one without the pedals and spend the money on a trolling motor with spot lock.
At the very least Zoffinger also rents Yaks. You could try out the armada that pelican makes and figure out which one suits you the best. If you're ever in the neighborhood you should definitely hit him up. He's a pretty cool guy and there's nothing better than a day out on the water.... Unless it rains really hard. lol

I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I haven't had any issues with it whatsoever. The pedal drive makes it way easier to fish and move.You can attach a power pole to it but if you drill any holes you void pelicans warranty. If you go to Zoffingers TH-cam channel he has a video of the power pole installation. I've used that Yak and it's really convenient to "drop anchor" without having to mess with any lines.
I lucked out and found a seller close to me. They also sell them online and get them shipped for free at www.zoffinger.com/ . Pelican did have a recall for the rudder rivets on certain units. They will either fix it for you or send a kit so you can swap them yourself. It's an excellent Yak. Really like the stability and space.
@@giovannim5101 I do not have the pedal drive kayak, but I do have a pelican kayak. One of the footrests broke and they sent me a new one within a couple of days. I am very happy with their customer service.

You can reverse the drive if you remove it and turn it around. So it does have reverse capabilities, but I find that process to be more of a hassle than just using the paddle for a quick adjustment.
If you're going for distance... Yes. I was just moving off the dock. Once upon a time I was in a peddle yak that had a broken rudder... Rudder up = terrible experience and constant corrective paddling to get to where you want to go.
I do wish when people make a video about a product, they would focus the camera on the product and not the persons face, 20 min of life story, time getting there, 2 min greetings. Otherwise, great vid..

I just bought a used one . I haven’t used it yet but I will use it tomorrow and I will make a review of it on my channel

What is happening with the drive I heard that they are breaking can you please comment on the drive.

So how did you load the kayak onto your car?
I hulked it up onto the rack. Not the easiest thing to move around. With 2 people it wouldn't be bad.

The Hobie Mirage drive fits apparently. That has reverse.
