I started watching your videos in 2014 with the poor man kayak your enthusiasm inspired me so much to go out in the water I have always loved fishing but could never afford a kayak I've been a fan ever since and now I am glad to inform you that last year for fathers day I got my very first kayak then I got another one and now I have 3 it's fantastic I am planning to do videos this year and all of this is because of you thank you man keep it up greetings from El Salvador Central América
Doesn’t really matter what the video is about, you draw people in with your chill personality Marty! I didn’t have anything great to comment, but wanted to support your channel - Glad to own my very own Zoffinger T-Shirt 👌🏻
No one can modify like you. Your mind for this type of changes is a blessing. I always find myself completely amazed. From all the way back to the poor man’s kayak. I first watched. Until today. Your 16:55 one of a kind!
Marty...Always a pleasure. I've been with you through most of your adventures since way back (the early days". I'm never disappointed. And, being 78 yrs old, that's saying something. Don't stop.
You’re the reason why I got into kayaking, glad to see you back on the water, and in good spirits! You drilling holes in your kayak gave me so many ideas, and reduced the fear of destroying my kayak! Thanks for all you do for the follower here on TH-cam! Nice fish too!
Suggestion to viewers, Use black duct tape. I don't get the taping noise from the seat because I keep the seat strap tight. I used handle wrap tape on the seat feet. I love my 110 and 130... The rod tip holders is an awesome idea but I'll make mine out of heated n reshaped PVC. That's a great "TIP"
Haven’t seen your videos for a while. They’re still great. Like your new camp/ home setup. Last time I saw you , you were on a big boat. New pad looks cool ! Fish on !
Great video as always Marty. That's a nice rig pelican came out with. I always wondered about the seats and noise potential, there's a solution for just about any problem. Your videos have inspired thousands of people to get out on the water and enjoy nature and catch some fish and enjoy life. 73 Earnest K5EWM.
hey Marty, glad we finally got to meet Mrs Zoffinger. 😀 BTW sewing machines can be a pain, I can hand sew but borrowed a sewing machine once and could never get it threaded right good skill to have though for so many projects. Now you can make a sail for your kayaks!.
Love your videos it is because of them and you I bought my catch mode. I rigged it with a minnkota 30 steering rod holders, rails and the such I love the catch mode just wish it was just a bit longer
I have the same kayak I just got it last year and I have the same seat noise. Now I know how to fix it. That’s a great tip! Thanks Marty. Love your videos keep up the good work.
Great videos. I too am a DYI guy. Always trying to improve things I like simple. Went and viewed the 110 Catch Mode Pelican today. Very impressed as my first ever kayak. Thanks to your videos makes the decision easy… Wanted to stay under a $1K budget. Includes the 10.8” Catch Mode, (nice seat) a 240 cm paddle and PFD. Should be fun Hope I can haul in my Honda Ridgeline pick up box 5’-6” long with out using a receiver extender. Worth a try. Great helpful ideas and tips
Marty is everything good about "Florida Man." Glad you're back home. You won't remember but you met me and my son on the beach in Apollo before we knew he was autistic and were just a cool guy to both of us.
I like that some of your videos are in a paddle kayak. Most have switched to pedal drives. I've tried the pedal drives and due to a bad knee, I prefer the paddle. I love your channel.
Man let me tell you something, Im subscribed to maybe 60 people but I just can count with just one hand creators that Im looking forward to see theirs videos and you are one of them. So good job man 👍👍👍👍
Love the videos! I'll be down there (from Illinois) around the Tampa Bay area in about a month. How awesome would it be to just relax and have a couple of cold ones with Marty Tight lines, everyone!
If there's a Mrs. Zoffinger. I'm sure she is also a crafty person. If the moon line up with Uranus. That means we're in big trouble, cause that's where Dr. Evil next lair will be. 😆
A trolley adds the ability to change the direction your boat faces when the anchor is set. The anchor will pull from the front or the middle or the back of your kayak depending on where you slide it's ring, which the anchor line goes through.
Great video. I am having trouble finding a good place to put my live bait cooler. Would you happen to have any suggestions? Behind my seat, I can't really reach it well. In front of me it gets in the way. I have a Native Slayer 14.5-paddle kayak.
Funny, you mention voiding the warranty. I bought a catch mode 110. My first kayak ever, 60 years old. I asked Pelican where i could mount the trolley. They said oh no you can't do that , you would void the warranty. I watched YT vids and I saw this pelican guy putting screws in all over the place. Not going to contact Pelican any more.
I'm a big guy (6'2", 235 lbs). I have a Pelican Catch Classic that I love. One issue I have with the seat is that my turning and moving around sometimes loosens the one strap holding down the chair. This will cause the chair to come out of location and turn sideways. A few times, I was almost in dire trouble because of the seat malfunction. Do you know of any seat clamps or alterations I can to make the seat safer for us sasquatches that like to kayak?
What's up, big guy? I wish you lived closer. I'd fix that up for ya real quick (I'm assuming you aren't around the corner) Perhaps I'll make a video about that someday.
Hey Marty send me the biggest sticker with your name and I will put it on my pelican kayak and on my truck. In Toronto Canada. PS I love your videos and your videos helped me get through my hart condition recovery
Marty, aren’t you nervous about drilling hole for the pad eyes on the side of the boat? I am not trolling just asking, because I never tried it myself.
Hey man. I’m sure you get this question alot, but did you ever finish the great loop? I started watching your videos but looks like it just ends abruptly thought i haven’t gotten to the end of the playlist haha Thanks 🙏
I couldn't bring myself to tell how that year's travel ended. I cared too much for a friend and didn't want to trash anyone and be labeled a complainer. The whole trip was supposed to take a few years at least. I might pick it up again someday after my beloved pups are not involved in the matter (they are 11 and 13 years old at the moment) The journey was fun. Better done alone perhaps for the remainder. I wound up making about 1700 miles out of 6000.
@@zoffinger i totally understand my friend, i was just curious, i was quite amazed that Mike had kept going back for his vehicle it seemed like it drug the trip out. The full size dogs I’m sure are tough also, i have 3 & i couldn’t imagine how it would be having to tend to them constantly when under way. Either way I’m going to continue watching the playlist.. nice to know that it wasn’t anything life threatening or anything like that. 1700 miles is still impressive! I’m sure it was fun either way. (Aside from the engine hiccups, but I’m sure peaceful to know they were replaced) Thanks for returning my comment! Have a wonderful week my friend 🙏🤘🏻
I used one of these going through an inlet in 2-3ft. Got through it! Great, kayak. Keep in mind though, there are other "knock off" pedal drive kayak brands with the same stability for on average $800 less.
Whats the deal with pelican? they don't sell replacement cables for their drives, they want you to buy the entire lower kit for $500 dollars? Thats crazy.
You can just tell Zoff is totally back in his element in Florida, tight lines Marty!
Such a sweet setup
I miss Florida
This is like having the old "Mr. Fix It" Zoffinger back.

You're a great spokesman for Pelican, Marty. Nice red, man!
So glad the wife let you go fishing today Marty 🤣
back in the saddle....
Good to see you doing things again.
Marty...Always a pleasure. I've been with you through most of your adventures since way back (the early days". I'm never disappointed. And, being 78 yrs old, that's saying something. Don't stop.

Your videos of late say you’re in a good place in life like you were with the old red yak 15 years or so ago. Tight lines and no wakes my friend.
Always a pleasure to watch you on your adventures or just tinkering with your boats.
😎🎣🐟
Glad you r back missed these videos

GOT A MODE 110 FOR CHRISTMAS...CANT WAIT FOR THE WEATHER TO CHANGE...LOVE YOUR HACKS...FROM FLAGLER BEACH AREA...👍👍
good trip
Nice. This had the ol red kayak vibe to it. Very nice indeed!

I talked about sailing today to a fly fisherman. Both skills I admire but haven't figured out yet.

I love having the Zoff we all love, back on the yak, and ripping lips! Great mod tips too!!
Thanks for sharing, always interesting to see what folks are using for kayak fishing in other parts of the world.

Wish i had your skill and knowledge on building things
Great stuff Marty. Tell the wife I said hello.
She says, Hi :^D
Havent watched your vids in a great while but man-o-man do you seem a bit different in a chill way. I hope that vibe keeps on coming.
Love the info in these videos. My kayak is dressed up to Zoffinger's specifications.
Classic video and enjoyed the heck out of it brother!

Watching on tv but must come here to give 👍
Loved everything in this video, as always
Thanks Marty
Good video👍
I wish i had a boat like that. It would be used alot.
I'm coming to Florida in the near future, I'll see if we can meet up. 👍
Go Bass fishing Marty change it up sir from saltwater been a fan of yours for many yrs wish you the best stay safe!
Sure would justify that freshwater license I pay for every year. Good advice.
Good to see ya back in your element! #barflyfishing
Use eva foam instead of carpet on the kayak.😊It works great!
I had a kick out of the “wife” theme. Always enjoy your videos.
Duct tape builds are my type of builds!
Very nice video, some great ideas Ty 😊
MARTY IS BACKKKK ♥
Marty, there really isn’t a need for snide comments or making fun of our wives. Please be respectful. I love your fix it parts.
Throw a bigger rudder, and some hobie 180 pedals and this boat becomes a monster on the water, even does rivers and creeks great
halfway through the vid, I feel you got more and more like new york marty XD
Love all these videos. Makes me feel like its 2013 again. When I didn't want an asteroid to smash in to the Earth....
Thank you Marty❤ what does a trolley do?

Great video!!! Enjoyed the bit about the wifey....lol
Saludos desde Costa Rica
Cheers!
nice fish, if your worried about seeing the tape it comes in different colors just use black
Love your ideas Marty, FYI for the haters, duc-tape comes in black too, and several other colors.
Be honest Marty do you like fishing in your kayaks or modifying them more?
Um...Yeah..Ya see, Um...
More stable than the Geteway? Can you make a video about which boat is your favorite and why? Thx
Great video. I am having trouble finding a good place to put my live bait cooler. Would you happen to have any suggestions? Behind my seat, I can't really reach it well. In front of me it gets in the way. I have a Native Slayer 14.5-paddle kayak.
I deliver to ruskin twice a week, think of you Everytime. Would love to Meetup at the lazy gator for a bud light
I got a story or two from that place...
Wish i had 1😮
Love your videos! How do you like the pelican?
😊😂😊😊😂😂😂😂 Your "wife"!!! Lol She is homily.
I wonder if pipe insulation foam(black) would work? You know like the kind of padding on BMX or motocross handlebars.
nice
duck tape ftw

I wish you could rig other brands like Hobie kayaks!
Is the pelican catch110 hdfx a new boat coming out?
Hey Marty, would electrical tape do the same thing as duct tape for those seats. Using a running lace pattern.
I'm a big guy (6'2", 235 lbs). I have a Pelican Catch Classic that I love. One issue I have with the seat is that my turning and moving around sometimes loosens the one strap holding down the chair. No, I am in the.Pensacola area. I'll be looking forward to that video .
Florida Joe Brother.😊
Second, got catch pwr 100 after seeing your video s .
I don't know if it's been said, but they make black duct tape, which would be pretty much invisible.
Beautiful woman Mrs Zoffinger😂😂. Paolo from Venice Italy
Hey now! Watch it! She's mine I:^D

Alas! No. I suppose Covid drove me out. Amongst other things. Perhaps I will reinvent a new place someday....

@@MorbidOrangeCat yeah I'm tossing up whether I should get a small tinny for the price of one of these hobies or pelicans

Had to get right of my pelican. Got tired of the pedal fins breaking
Whats the deal with pelican? they don't sell replacement cables for their drives, they want you to buy the entire lower kit for $500 dollars? Thats crazy.
Hobie cares more for their customers it seems.
Brought back some memories. I really miss my ex-wife… but my aim is getting better! 😂
really nice video ! you content is so good ! could i know whether you are interested in testing our Powerwin lifepo4 battery ?😊
Maybe black duct tape for those who are real picky?
It looks like "the wife" took a bite of your sandwich after she made it.
You guys don't miss anything!
🖐😎👍
I wish he could do mi inflatable kayak
Personally? I think it was the duct tape that brought the fish in.
Haha
If you're worried about aesthetics just use black duck tape.
Gorilla tape is black if the silver duct tape bother people.
