I have fitted the Dal Soggio XP1 Kit on my 2017' TE250 about an year ago and I couldn't be happier. I gives you a softer feel at the beginning and it's more progressive. Significant improvement at a relatively low cost.
Nice review. I had a suspension shop install a similar system from a company called Innteck. It replaced the mid valve and base valve. I’ve been quite happy with the improvement in progression and bottoming resistance.
How do you know what the correct front spring rate is? I’ve used some calculators (Racetech) that show the front rate much lower than the shock spring rate, and other companies that show on their charts to use the same rate front and rear. I read the instruction sheet for this kit and they recommend a pretty soft rate.
Yes, the XP1 kt work great for rocks. Compared to stock the fork will feel plusher (as it keeps it higher in the stroke) and more stable. It's a good choice for technical riding including hard enduro.
2017 fe350 xp-1 kit. Ditto: plusher at higher speed on little sharp stuff and bottom resistant on big hits. Btw I could not get cube oil or any information on an equivalent. So I took a guess and used Motorex 2.5 at 100mm. It worked out great. Should I have used the 4.0?, I don’t know🧐
I just installed these on a 2020 te250i. Just to clarify, youre saying the compression adjustment is opposite on 2020 as well? I think i read on the forums it was just on 2017s.
@@TokyoOffroad Same here. Installed this system year ago, but i think reverse compression refers only to 2017 models. But i'm confused why it would be diferent only in 2017 models....
I received confirmation from Dal Soggio that only the 2017 model has the compression clicker direction reversed. As such I have edited the video and added a note in the description of the video clarifying the correct information.
Yes, the 2021 GasGas EC300 also uses the WP XPLOR fork and the Dal Soggio XP One kit can be installed. I'm sure that you'll love the performance improvement.

Where did you get the clamps mentioned in the video? Can I buy a set?

Trying again to ask.....What are the inside diameter measurements of the clamp tool that you mentioned in the video? @3:12
The clamp blocks need to be able to grip 12mm diameter tube. The KTM part number for a 12mm clamp block tool is T14016S
Hi is this also good on the rocks

Have you done any work to your shock? What do you think about a Bladder Kit?

Dal Soggio Cube oil is 5W. I use Belray High Performance Fork Oil 5W as Cube oil is not available locally and not ease to import.

I think the "2017 Only" refers to the sticker, but will double check with Dal Soggio and confirm.

@@TokyoOffroad Nice. Thanks.

@@TokyoOffroad thanks I think I'll try it soon. Also I'm loving the cheater front 216 so far!
nice video
I was thinking of these but then went for the full racetech conversion instead.
Wise choice, since when have the Italians been the paragon of suspension settings.
@@nuthintoprove The Romans had awesome suspension on their catapults.
