I feel for the people as well, after the 2009 floods. I thought the protection measures were good enough. What a bloody mess.

there were many more floods after 2007 not 2009 i were fortunate to have lived north of doncaster from 2008 to 2020 & visited all locations on evry flooding incident aswell as take pics of them sadly i never got to see this one as im now back in my birthplace which i didnt want to return to but had no choice

I will never understand the reasons behind rebuilding on a known flood plain? Well, guess I will go another route to my daughter's.

I was down at Catcliffe on the Saturday morning doing some footage from the air and the land and was shocked to how fast the water level was rising, I don’t know Catcliffe that much and when I sent the drone up I didn’t know what was the river or the roads surrounding it,,the footage I did just looked like a lake with a few traffic lights and houses in the middle.
