Around Barnsley/South Yorkshire there's places flooded that don't normally flood, but all the usual places around here on the Dearne have been quite normal. Please tell me how much your local council spent on dredging the local rivers and canals, because there is your problem, silt build up is preventing rivers and canal holding water , and so it has nowhereto go but lower ground. . You'll be fine then, it's all pretty much gone now
Sadly very true, but they don't help. I've been on the receiving end. Trying to clear water just to have it washed back in by a passing car going too fast.
Yeah some people just don't think
I feel for those people that are flooded. Has to be the worst thing.
Me too, it's receded quickly so hopefully not too much damage
Fucks sake mate thats awful. Sorry for those that have suffered. Lucky for you though.
Thanks we were fortunate living a little higher up. Everyone's rallied round though as they do in villages
The peak cavern Halloween cinema stuff starts on Thursday, don’t think that will be happening!
It should be OK by then. Luckily the cinema is high up inside the cave
You need some stew an dumplings 😊
🤣🤣🤣🤣 funny you should say that ❤️❤️❤️
All those empty second homes/holiday cottages.
I know, prices here are ridiculous, we're only renting as couldn't afford to buy. Ought to be a law on how many can be second homes
Just returned from Keswick now that is a town with second homes very few people actually live there now, such a shame its allowed to go on but hey money talks i guess
Years of neglect from the council’s not maintaining the drains and waterways
I agree in other cases, in this one it comes straight out the cave and into the village
Note the swans and ducks have more
Sense they are on dry land
Yep, the ducks here are very clever, also I've seen them on rooftops which I've never seen before
Gotta feel for anyone whose home is flooded, not so much for the second home owners lol.
Have to agree there, should be limits on the number of second homes and holiday let's, half this place consists of them now
Geo engineering.
Really ???? 🤣🤣🤣
@@thepeakdistrictviking yep. Look it up. Look up weather modification. HAARP.
And remember… just because you have never come across it, or you don’t think it’s possible… doesn’t mean it isn’t. There’s an agenda going on to have you believe that climate change is a thing. I spent over 10 yrs looking into it and there are many many many climate scientists who will tell you that there is no emergency with nature. It’s being manipulated. Instead of laughing… investigate. Peace.
Omg…where army? Praying …canada
Fortunately the waters subsided and the locals handled it. Love Canada one of my favourite places, worked in Montreal for a while
nice video but swearing not good
Industrial language. I don't normally swear that much
Very sad
Luckily it didn't last long and no major damage to infrastructure.
Lot MPs seem doing lot finger pointing no warning etc, only after dramatic events can areas go in Red Zones. U cant predict the future weather or who is greater risk, unless flooding in past has occurred something our elected MP's need to understand rather jumping to conclusions.
Ideally should be 4 tier warning
Green = normal
Yellow = some minor floods
Red = serious risk Flooding
Black = evacuated homes risk level on severe.
Sounds a sensible approach but our MPs are not sensible only out for thenselves
best not to live near rivers or streams in the future.
We are fine but I can imagine people in flood plains either pay through the nose or can't get insurance
Please tell me how much your local council spent on dredging the local rivers and canals, because there is your problem, silt build up is preventing rivers and canal holding water , and so it has nowhereto go but lower ground. . If your rivers and canals were just 3ft deeper you would not have this problem, so blame the EU for that when they banned dedging, by all member countries,, you only have to look at the german devastaion of last year.
Ah, Castleton. Know it well. No living dead from Manchester morgue about then?
🤣🤣🤣 luckily not
Great footage, but do you have to use the fxxkin f word so fxxkin often.😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 f@#£&*%g really 🤣🤣🤣
