But, at that TIME it HAPPENED that there was ONE of them who was ENJOYING ACCEPTING a BRIBE--JUDAS. So JESUS used this PERSON to FINISH His WORK. It's so---simple! ☀️

I can't imagine watching everything wash away like that. Not only losing your property or means of living, but the emotional trauma must be seriously hard to come to grips with.

totally agree not that i have experienced landslides but i tried getting a huge boulder rock rolling down towards me where it rolled past me with like 4 meters distance, so whenever i see that i get a chill inside.

Brazil needs to stop selling its mines and strategic companies. Actually, needs to renationalize all the ones that were sold.
Samarco is owned by Anglo-Australian BHP Biliton and Vale (once a state-owned company that was privatized and is involved in another large-scale disaster).
There was also another major disaster caused by a Norwegian mining company in the Brazilian Amazon.
It is interesting to note that it is always companies from countries that criticize any underdeveloped country that tries to industrialize. They always criticize deforestation and pollution in these countries, but at the end of the day, their companies are causing huge disasters, killing hundreds of people, sickening thousands, contaminating soil and water and devastating forests of these same countries.

I must have watched thousands of these types of videos but the Underworld videos as are fantastic. They are condensed but really informative. And the narrator is the best. He doesn’t just yabber over the clip. And they are all relatively recent. Great viewing.

i was stationed in San Antonio TX in 1998 when a hurricane hit. locally we had 26 inches of rain in just under 7 hours. the flooding was insane.
Oh, damn. I was there for 6 months, so I know Texas rain is a different animal, but that's incredible.
I can't imagine the nightmare that was for the base to deal with.
That’s unbelievable seeing that large storage tank moving in the mud slide. Those tanks are usually bolted to a concrete base, thick base.
Whoever owned and operated that mine should be in jail.

2019 was the "100 year flood" in Oklahoma. It rained so hard and so fast some of the levees malfunctioned and Keystone lake had to open up the dam which flooded everything built around the Arkansas River. I remember looking off the side of a bridge and seen a red car stuck up in the trees.

It’s too bad that no one got footage of the flash flood of 2016 here in Lycoming County Pennsylvania. 10+ inches of rain in around 6 hours. Me and many others were landlocked for two and a half days as bridges and roads were washed out.

Where I live had a bad flood after heavy rains. The reason? The town council hadn’t bothered to clear the storm gullies for years and they had become choked with undergrowth and even full trees and bushes. Only after all the damage was the storm gully finally cleared. It’s growing over again nicely. Another few years should see another flood when the undergrowth is thick enough.

I'm surprised the 2020 floods in Australia didn't get a mention here. There was people driving over the streetlights in my city in boats in the middle of the night trying to rescue people that got caught by water that went from fine to 3-4 stories high overnight.

It confuses and impresses me that people live in areas prone to natural disasters. Of course, you can't really escape natural disasters anywhere, but some places definitely have it worse than others. It's like a testament to human stubbornness and adaptability that these people know the next disaster is coming and, instead of being like "fuck this, I'm out", they're just like "Oh well...lets start repairing again. Gotta fix everything before the next one hits."

If it seems like there are more of these happening and that they are getting worse, you're right. Major flooding is one of the underreported effects of climate change. It will also become the greatest cause of destroyed infrastructure. While droughts and heat waves cause massive forest fires and dried up rivers which will disrupt our agricultural output. Flooding will take out our roads, bridges, rail lines and electrical grid. Not to mention towns, villages and farmland.
While the industrialists were crying that stopping the cause of climate change would be economically unfeasible, they were knowingly pushing the much higher costs of climate change happening forward to this generation and the next.
This is just the beginning folks, by the end of the decade I suspect that most nations will have quit even trying to repair the damage caused by these events. And the vast majority of us are STILL being lulled into complacency by the mainstream media. If you have the courage, go see what the scientists are actually saying. Their story is quite grim.

At the same time examples of excellent land and water management actually in practice can be found in those same countries. Schemes in India for example have transformed social cohesion, economies, water tables, farming practice and crops.

Those men standing right on the edge of the river, waiting for the water to come rushing through are foolish. You can even hear people yelling at them to get out of there. If they had fallen in they surely would’ve died. But before they did emergency crews would’ve had to risk their own lives to try and rescue them. It’s one thing to try and rescue people who through no fault of their own end up in a deadly circumstance. But having to try and rescue people who purposely put themselves in harms way for thrills is altogether different.

theres a flood plain behind our neighborhood. a development group want to build apartments there. we have all been fighting them for a few years now. only way they can build there is if they raise the whole ground area. therefore, we become the new floodplain. how they are even allowed to do that is beyond us. we are not giving up, but not sure how long we can hold out. we are just a tiny neighborhood
