It only sounds big because of the drum samples and backing tracks. Actually I think it’s shit. Not knocking the style of music or their ability but I think bands should play actually live which includes the actual sound of the drums, not drum software. Sounds like a Tv show where they play the recording and just have the singer do live vocals on it.

It's 9am on a lockdown Friday in a small town in Derbyshire on the edge of the picturesque English countryside. After the show ended we continued moshing and rowing and wall of deaths for another 10 minutes. That was a pretty great moment, even though everyone was a bit bumped.
Incredible show! And most unbelivable is that during the last show of the British tour in Dundee a blackout stopped Masters of the Galaxy at the same moment! The audience (including myself) finished the song shouting out loud!

Gloryhammer tempted fate by wielding the Astral Hammer and summoned thunder from the heavens! And had to be closed down because German law forbids them playing in a thunderstorm. What did we learn to do kids? Zargothrax is a German lawmaker. It being happening during Gloryhammer was appropriate, but the whole festival shut down for about an hour
The same thing happened in Bulgaria a few months earlier. Gloryhammer's entire performance at the Hills of Rock was canceled because of a thunderstorm. Their fans were really angry. Luckily, we got to see them later, when they came with Powerwolf.
Man, I feel so sorry they had to cancel the show. The finale would have been so awesome. I both feel sorry for the audience and especially this amazing band. I´ve watched the full concert at least 10 times now because it´s just so much fun to see how much fun they are all having. Hopefully - one day - I´ll be in Wacken myself. As a German, I HAVE to see this live, this is part of our culture by now :D

This was such a special concert for me! My boyfriend has been going to Wacken every year since 2009. We met online and this was our first festival together! It was also the first time I heard Gloryhammer and they were very memorable- especially the fans, some of whom were drunk and shirtless riding on a unicorn inflatable after the concert ended abruptly due to the thunderstorm warnings (Kudos to you guys, you were AWESOME!). Either way, I am SO glad I learned about this band, they're my favorite, and I'm super happy to see Wacken uploaded the concert!! Hope everyone is staying safe and washing their hands!! Hoots! 🤘
Thanks for clarifying, I was trying to understand what indeed happened. They are always memorable live, saw them first time also last year in Graspop (just a filler between bands for me) and naturally they got me to watch them live later in Antwerp.

The heavy metal scene is having too much fun these days and the rest of the world needs to catch up.
This is the first time I have seen ppl coming to a metal band concert bringing unicorns and even wearing them as a hood!

Every time the camera shows the crow with toy swords and unicorns it makes me smile! This kind of energy is amazing!
I sat and listened to this with a huge smile on my face, Gloryhammer are just awesome, I have to see them live one day.
I am thoroughly convinced that these guys have way more fun than any other metal band.
