Is there anyway to connect this to the throttle for reverse on an airplane and run it like the collective / throttle on a helicopter so that mid point on the throttle is essentially 0 throttle, full up is 100 fwd (like normal) but as you cross the mid point it goes into reverse proportionally so that with the throttle stick all the way down it would be 100% reverse? This would open up some interesting options for 3D aerobatics.

I did this with my turbo and curious why is has that little high pitch sound that happens when the prop comes to a stop. You can hear it clockwise and counterclockwise. I can only think it happens due to the reverse thrust trying to stop the motor quickly so when you do hit reverse it doesn’t damage the motor?! Your thoughts?

Will the crow feature that allows ailerons to deflect upwards together require another channel? I'm guessing flaps 5,6, and reverse 7 so will that last 8th channel be enough to use crow? I'm trying to figure out if 8 channels are enough for everything. Thanks

I tried one time when It’s fly I didn’t know what is happening then immediately fell down and broke I can’t control it but don’t worry I fixed now but I scary to try again

Great video! The menu still isn’t showing up on my DX8e, which is strange because I managed to get it to work with a plane last year. Got a new plane a couple days ago and couldn’t remember how to do it. Any help appreciated, thanks

@@diegoarpino2080 Ok my friend I got it all figured out, plug in new battery fully charged, using the scroll whell turn to the right last menu is the smart esc do the throttle down and down elevator to the left and then right to enter the meno and you can program the reverse ere.
I have a nx10 and trying to get the thrust reverse to work on my eflite f16 and it doesn't seem to want to do reverse so I don't know what I'm doing rong, even followed all the instructions
I have the new EF F-16 80MM Thunderbird and had a similar problem until I consulted the manual. Don’t forget you have to have your elevator and aileron switches set to high rates.That solved the problem and everything went per the video after that. Also, if you have a original NX10 the software has to be updated to current software to access the Avian programming menu.

Is this the BNF version with the reciever that came with it. I took reciever from another plane and using NX8 BUT I i dont have 7th channel assignment. I only have 6 . WHY ? How do you assign the switch to channel 7 then . WTF ?? Great Vid :)
Ok, i think i worked it out. Since this reciever is from another bnf plane (extra 300) it is locked with that config. So i need to unlock. Working on it...

Thanks for this great video. On my DX9 I used switch G for the reverse thrust and all works well. Question is how do I change position 2 being forward and position 1 being reverse to the other way around. Ie I would like position 0 for forward and position 1 for reverse. Thanks

The setup makes nutural enter brake mode,so you as long as you go to zero throttle and hit the switch your fine.

What switch is SAFE/AS3X assigned? What switch is Throttle Reverse assigned?
Safe by default is A throttle reverse can be on any unused channel

Yes you just need a way to program the esc the new nx6 8 and 10 its part of the transmitter setup.
