Yeah, kinda had to! Our buddy Ciarán gave us a spare set of wings which were for the old blue Timber, so the decals had to be reversed because they didn't have red wingtips haha
The TTE is my favorite bushy STOL plane due to my lack of talent in the programing department. I have come up with my own durable gear mod using the parts provided with the float's. Now I snap a axels instead of springs. Your flying skills are wicked good. Thanks for your channel and it's content. Cheers
Just ordered the new Turbo Timber EVO! It will be my second plane after the Apprentice STS and I can’t wait! Of course I ordered the 13x4 prop kit and now I will be ordering the Timber X steel shaft. Great video! Love your Timber content! I appreciate you taking the time to do this work, it really means a lot.

@@ficosk8 The gear on the original caused so many prop strikes. We went through three propellers filming it flying in the same locations as Timber. Timber never broke a single prop, but the Fun Cub chewed through them.
It's my favorite too man haha I love this beast so much!! 0:33 And YES! I'm gonna marry my Timber and raise a bunch of Timblets!!😆I crashed it so many times and it's still going... it doesn't care... such a capable and durable airplane. Been following your channel for a long time and I've watched every single of your videos about this plane, especially love to watch the way you fly this turbotimber evo in 3d. Unfortunately, the country I am from just do not have this plane, they do not sell it here. Any other bush plane you recommend that is capable of flying similar to this one?
Did you have to cutt the servos loose from the glue in the fuselage when replacing them? What glue did you use to attach the upgraded servos in the fuselage?
Maule is more powerful, but Timber is more fun in our viewpoint. Definitely wouldn't recommend it as a first airframe. Join us on Discord and we can help you figure out what's right for you: bit.ly/TBRCDiscord
Oh BTW Jon will you be any newer videos on your UMX's Waco Bipe,Turbo Timber Evolution&Timber X now since the warmer weather is here hopefully that means the winds should be calming down some??
@@TwoBrosRC That's too bad Jon I just wanted to hear about your latest feelings on those UMX's just like what you did for this video. But hey it's cool!
There's not really a whole lot to cover with UMX models. They all have identical servos and fly really similarly - hence why there's not much of a point to going back to them again for us. Sorry about that!
@@TwoBrosRC it flys good after you replace all the factory servos. And v had it a while. So it took a while to get landing gear sorted out. Parts were on back order for a year it seemed like. And the factory gear was weak. It’s way better now that Iv sorted it out. But I had trouble with stock receiver as well. It would go into To safe mode after I got inverted. And would not roll back right side up.
@@TwoBrosRCHow about the Super Timber 1.7. I think it has replaceable firewall and it is a bigger aircraft. Do you think it is better than the Evolution? I'm going more into some acrobatics but not ready for full blown 3D.
Depends on what you're interested in doing. The Super Timber is more 3D capable in the traditional sense. The Timber Evo is less capable in that regard, but still a fun plane to fly.

That looked like fun! Great video Jon!
Thanks Brian!
I don't know if you realized it yet Jon, but you are at professional pilot level! seriously amazing flying!
Haha, thanks! Anyone can do what Jon is doing with enough practice.
Great flying Jon! Fun bird for sure!
Curious to see if you'll put your Timber through hell too. 😂
Nothing short of phenomenal flying Jon! 👍
Thanks man! Like we said, enjoy flying however you want - that's the joy of this hobby.
More rc bush flying please! You’re doing a great job! Can’t await to see MPX FunCub content.
Will do!
It took a while before I realized that the stickers were pasted in reverse. Brilliant!

Great plane. Great review. Another banger from Two Bros!!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Just picked one of these up. The programming video was excellent! This video makes me want to fly it even more...of course in fria zones....😶
Oh yes. Give us that funcub footage.
That's also what I want to see
The NG would master that too probably. But the gear is a bit delicate at least for me 🤣

@@ficosk8 I agree. And no stock available at Mr MPx is killing me. Luckily I found an stl file on thingiverse to print some.
Threading those needles!

Legendary plane:)
The Timber really is an epic plane, so versatile. It has some major flaws though. E.g. engine mount, undercarriage..
Great airplane wet or dry 😎
Great Video Jon! And he means what he says!! Jon has helped me many times on Discord when I get lost in techno babble land 🤣
Glad to help!
The first plane you tested at the power lines looked much happier to be there
It was definitely easier to fly there, but Timber handled the terrain way better.
I kinda like the decals better in reverse
I'm very sure Jon that Zach from @TailHeavyprodictions would be very proud of this video. Another fantastic job on the video Jon👍👍😎😎👍👍
Unpopular opinion I like the white squares on the wings
That's certainly an opinion lol

Unfortunately, the country I am from just do not have this plane, they do not sell it here. Any other bush plane you recommend that is capable of flying similar to this one?
Thanks so much! It's really a unique airframe, doesn't fly like much anything else out there, but the closest you might get is the FMS Maule.
thank you will definitely give that plane a look, by the way can not wait to see your full video on the flex innovation twin otter
Did you have to cutt the servos loose from the glue in the fuselage when replacing them?
What glue did you use to attach the upgraded servos in the fuselage?
You do need to cut them loose as gently as you can. We used FoamTac to secure the new servos.
This was awesome! I guess I'll wait for the updated version. Do you think they will come out with an updated Timber X 1.2M? Evo version? lol
That'd be neat if they did, for sure!
How does this compare to the FMS Maule 1.5 ? Thinking about getting the maule as first plane any suggestions sir ?

Those white wing tips really throw me off lol is that a replacement wing?
Yeah, from the blue Timber. The wingtips aren't red so we had to reverse the decals for it to work.
Oh BTW Jon will you be any newer videos on your UMX's Waco Bipe,Turbo Timber Evolution&Timber X now since the warmer weather is here hopefully that means the winds should be calming down some??
Probably not, UMX videos are normally a one-and-done thing for us.

I'm new at this and am concerned that the engine mount unlike the Apprentice is not replaceable.
It is if you pick up a 3D printed replacement.

Is there a difference between this landing gear and the falconrc upgrade gear?
Yes, the new gear is tougher, lighter, and doesn't require modifying the plane or any of its components.
@@TwoBrosRC thanks.i assume the falconrc requires drilling? Whereas the kinadditive not?
You're correct.
@@TwoBrosRC great then I would rather go for the kinadditive.I like the black look

Not really a pain at all.

Yup.
