Thanks! Wait til you see the finished product! The beach is mostly in, just need one more load of sand. Just planted it all in wheat yesterday before a rain! Should look pretty nice when fully done! Take care
Thanks! It is coming along nicely! Got it planted in wheat yesterday just before a rain so it should be emerald green soon! And the beach is mosly done just needing one more load of sand.
Thanks, it will be quite the change when done! Beach is mostly in and graded now just needs one more load of sand, and I planted it in wheat yesterday just before a rain, after some grading. So it should pop soon!
You are getting a lot of work done in that excavator. You really change access and clean areas up very nicely. Look forward to your videos. You are giving me some great ideas for when I finally make the move to my Arkansas land
Good to hear thanks man. Yeah this pond is going to be beautiful when it's all done. Beach is almost done, and planted wheat on it yesterday before a rain so should really pop pretty soon! Best of luck with your future in Arkansas!
Thank you, it will be a very cool transformation! Beach is 90% done and I planted wheat on the newly graded dam that I cleared so it should pop after the rain we got yesterday!
Thank you for joining us! We try to keep it real, we work hard, and use our imaginations when it comes to land and life adventures! Hope to see you again, thanks! Are you located in MO by chance??
I love going back to read your replies to me and others. I was just checking comments on the last few and for some reason your replies on todays won't open. Thanks for the responses, really ejoy seeing what you guys are doing.
You handle that excavator hoe like a third hand! Also it’s nice when you do the inside the cab over the shoulder shots. I personally like seeing what controls what. Haven’t operated a mini ex yet. Pond dam looks great and the food plot is a great idea!
Right on thanks for the nice feedback! I just planted wheat on it yesterday a few minutes before a rain! So it should be emerald green before too much longer! Thank you!
Nice work on cleaning up the pond bank but why in the wide wide world of sports do you want to sit and lay around on the ground when you have a decent dock to lounge around on already out there in the water? You have me scratching my head trying to figure this one out!!
My back is wrecked. After a few hours of work laying down really helps it and it helps me to relax. Also I like getting vitamin D from the Sun. And you can't get that on front and back in a chair. Hope that helps!
Well if they are really big, with a big stump, yes you can as the big roots eventually rot and can cause a leak. But if the trees are not that big you should be fine pulling them. Hard to say 'how big' but if your dam is like 15 feet across and a stump is 2 or 3 feet on the inside you should still be good to go. Best of luck man!
Good call! I missed my chance yesterday. We had a sudden pop up shower develop but I was able to get wheat planted on it and dragged over the top just before the rain. I did some other food plots and ran out of time before the rain. So now I'll have to wait til the next rain to put some clover down on it. It is too steep to run the cultipacker on it but I'll watch the weather.
You should buy one of those dump trailers and then I could barrow it. Lol. We have a dairy farmer here that brings us gravel, he has dual axles and the last time brought 2 truck loads of 2A limestone for $520. Price has gone up $10 a load. I have to call him to bring another load on Monday. He also does well work. He came to my neighbor's property with his dozer to level the ground and bury something.
The pond is looking much better!
What a major improvement

Looking good Joe, definitely starting to put your mark on the place.

Wow, major progress!
I Ike it! I would also love to see more clearing of the dam.
Awesome! I will get the entire dam cleared soon, and the beach done too! Thanks
Great job sir. New Sub really like what you got going on here

I see you have a Polaris too! Nice! We've got some stuff in common!
You should check with the local conservation/usda to see if they have some cost sharing programs for pond maintenance
I did mention and ask at our meeting but we ended up getting sidetracked working on the other cost share plans. Good idea though.

Thanks @beckyinKC we appreciate it. We try to be a team and enjoy the feedback from everyone! Good, bad or otherwise! lol
I had been wondering if you had located any sand yet.
Beach is mostly done, just need one more load of sand!
What makes you decide where to put the beach? I would have thought just straight out from the house.😊
I set it up in the best spot to catch the evening sun til sunset! That is my chill time! :) Thanks
Can't open your reply. Next time.

👍👍...👀👀👀👀
Any risk of causing leaks in the dam when pulling trees? Only asking as I'll be doing that come January.

Thanks Kap. Yes the dam is plenty wide then. Maybe 12-18" diameter Mesquite Trees.
Going to be fun project
Plant clover on the pond dam.

I just paid $341 for 11 tons of 1in limestone in southern Illinois.
It wouldn't hurt to have one but not right now. They are handy though for sure
They have creek stone here a lot cheaper but not as good and it does have some drawbacks as well.
