Handheld companion broke my TDP on legion go :( can't set custom tdp, it goes fast at 30w no matter what number I set.. I uninstall HC and legion go software, to put a fresh legion space. And even in legion space custom tdp doesn't work now.. I might do a factory reset to put it on tracks...?
Man I love you channel bro, you’ve helped me a lot with this system. That said, this handheld companion app is horrible. My system started glitching out.. controllers wouldn’t register… so I deleted the app and tried to go back to legion space and it just wouldn’t work.s I had to factory reset the entire system. I ain’t mad, just saving some people from frustration and heartache
HC is great for LeGo. You didn't tell about the best feature for me - fan curve and cpu/gpu power slider. I have Ally (bought it before LeGo) and I was struct by noise of LeGo and thought it has much worse cooling but then realized that LeGo is keeping relatively low APU temperature around 65C and custom curve from Lenovo software don't allow it to drop rpm significantly. I also checked my Ally temps at 15W (quiet) and they were mostly 80+ C. So what I did was to use HC to adjust fan curve and suddenly LeGo become quiet beast while increasing APU temp to around 80C even at 20W which is better then my ally. Also the CPU/GPU power slider is worth a try because I saw in many games on LeGo that GPU is 800 MHz utilizing 90-100% and CPU is way higher with low utilization and that was the main reason of low fps in such games compared to Ally which had more juice towards GPU in the same 15W regime :)
@@JahsonENT i heard and seen Rog Ally X reviews and it sounds like a game changer. You lookin at 5 to 7 hours and 60 to 70 frames at 30 watts mode. I would get the ally x but it has a small screen, thats why it would be better if we got a Legion Go Pro because of a bigger screen.
@tracyclements1467 the thing that holds me back from the Aly is the 2 back buttons only. I need 4 back button, track pads. Legion even has 1 extra shoulder button along with 4 back button, a scroll wheel and track pad and it has detachable controllers too. I just wish there was vrr
Handheld Companion has an issue with messing up HHID where it creates virtual controllers, it is known to mess up badly ally and legion go so this is very messy and i would not recommend it. it has very very amazing tools but legion space is way more stable (we are talking here bad software vs software which may cause driver damage)
How do you update the drivers with the new legion space? The old version had a section under the setting where it looked for updates and then you could then choose to download it. With the new legion space there is no option to check or update drivers.
i have tried HC looks great but mine problem is that it disable legion space and i could not do updates and it messed up with all mine settings ect. The legion space bottoms doesn't even worked anymore. Luckily i do an system restore before i install it so that how i got everything working normal again. i think the developer have to make it possible to let it do updates ect like the legion space does.
Can I put bigger games on my 1tb micro SD card in the legion go? I did it for about 8 months in my steam deck oled with 0 issues, but I read windows devices will probably just burn up my micro SD if I run modern games from it
Also can anyone tell me how to use my series X controller for games on GoG? It works fine for steam and Epic, but I even made sure the games have controller support om GoG and my controller doesn't do anything, just the attached joycons
@@justafilmmaker I don't know how to do that, I just find it in the available devices through Bluetooth and connect, I added a game to steam then my GoG games worked, but only that one time, after I turned it off and tried again it hasn't worked since

@@zeohblitz I'd say wait and see what lenovo does. It they make a new legion go with a 80watt battery, then buy it. If not then wait.

you can but all depends on speed of the card, if not fast enough might cause issues with the game

I saw on a forum that you need to connect it as a normal bluetooth device rather than a controller and it'll work as intended. Haven't tried it yet.
