I It's challenging to choose which device is best when you only have one, as you often have some inherent bias. However, having both the Legion Go and the ROG Ally X allows for a fair comparison. The Legion Go is larger and overall better. The trackpads are incredibly useful, and when browsing the web, it offers a laptop-like experience. If you've never experienced the 8.8-inch screen, you truly don't understand the difference. While I don't think it's a fair comparison, the ROG Ally X does feel smoother, especially at 720p, likely due to its variable refresh rate (VRR). Nonetheless, I would choose the Legion Go as the winner.

Legion Go 2 is close !!

Well I've owned both... and I have stuck with the Legion Go. Battery could be an issue I guess but I'd only play an hour and half anyway charges in no time at all. Recently modded the D pad as I found that too "flat" (I play alot of retro emulation Snes/C64 etc) with an Xbox elite magnetic swappable plate and fit a WD 2tb ssd in. Also fit the comfy grips for a more comfortable experience. The Ally isn't bad at all but me being 51 my eyes aren't great as they were...so the screen size was an easy decision for me. And for Ps1/2 & Gamecube emulation it looks amazing. Also I dock the Legion Go and use the joycons in a grip link it just works well and then can just reconnect and continue in handheld mode.. Neither is a bad device but definitely Legion Go for me 🕹

just 7" screen in the Asus is directly a no go... The GO also is better to watch movies and remove the pads and game with them

The lossless scaling was rendered too high, I thought they said it would perform better at 70 or lower from the render scale

Legion for me, Hands down the best as that display is amazing. As for Traveling, Legion can be easily portable taking off joy cons as the screen can fit well in a backpack.

Guys i had both. Stuck with legion go but the ally x may be better. However for 861 bucks the legion is actually better. Ally x has vrr , more comfortable, and easy to use . However. Legion go is powerful and sometimes it can run better which is strange. The ally x just feels better in some instances while the legion is overall just better. The screen really helps the eyes . Im 20/20 vision and the ally is a little too small

Legion Go hardly can be the best, it is only best at the screen, the drivers are non existent. Legion go 2 have a high chance to be the best because they redesign the joycons to be thin and not sharp which it should have been instead of making it look like a pilot control stick as of this gen

Just to say the stock divers for the legion go are now available worldwide and not just from the China site

The Legion Go has been nothing but problems for me. The Amd software won’t open. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and reset the whole device twice. Nothing seems to work.

My legion space dosent work and my resolution has been stuck at 2560*1650 😂 thus 700 shyt not letting me run my Elden ring

Lossless excels where the fps in lower(20-40 ranger before turned on), while afmf 2 excels when fps is higher(~50 fps before turned on)

I cant run any games i always get the a direct x error and the game crashes, even with 23 version of the driver.
