'01 Limited w/316,000 miles on my daily driver. I concur with these issues & will add the exhaust manifold leak/tick, the white paint turns chaulky, and early models, if not all, need upgraded braking. Overall best truck ever built by man. Spark plugs are 30 min with a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning. The maintenance on this vehicle is very straight forward. Your return on investment is outstanding. 10/10

Excellent video! I'm going to look at an 03 Sequoia this week. I really appreciate the thoroughness and relaxed demeanor.

    I have a 2001 SR5 4wd Tundra. It has 374K and runs like a charm. Quality at it's best.

Hey I went to check your store for the headlights and I didn't see them! Just to let you know. Awesome video man. I just bought a 2000 tundra with 220k. Runs amazing.

Took delivery of my new 03 Tundra in November of 02 so the truck is currently 16 years old. 130,000 miles and nothing but tires, fluids, filters, batteries, 1 timing belt and nothing but maintenance items. Knock on wood but nothing has worn out yet. Incidentally I have never changed the transmission fluid because the manual didn't say to do it. Fluid still looks and smells new and runs great. I'm hoping to drive it forever. Like your channel. Great information.

Solid video, just replaced my radiator in my 2000 Tundra (pushing 200k), it had the exact issue which you described where the crimps started to leak.

Great video! I have a 2003 Sequoia SR5 4x4 with 260k miles on it. Best truck ever! Very good insight into the idiosyncrasies of the Sequoia.

I have an 03 Sequoia with 270k. I've had to replace the front sway bar end links twice and the rear door handle once. I have rust on the rear wheel wells and a broken radio antenna. Also, some of the radio lights don't work. And my driver door rattles on windy days or when going over a bump. A shop is now fabricating new replacement parts. Other than that, my Sequoia has been trouble free since I purchased it in July 2003.

Great video. My 03 Sequoia had a lift in it when I purchased it. I replaced it with factory suspension and don't regret it. The ride and handling is way better now. The ride was rough and top heavy.

Love your video on the high mileage Sequoia. You are dead on! Mine has 150,000.00 and running strong. I subscribed and I am looking forward to watching more of your videos..

Great video! Just bought one here in Lockport, IL a limited edition with 173k on it. Got some rust due to the Midwest though. Just like your video, door latch broke off so I ordered the replacement cord and a metal handle; Antenna won't go all the way up; and its currently in the shop for sway bar links, control arm and ball joints. Next step is to replace #3 and #4 02 sensors and get a new muffler because its growling! (LOL!) ALSO...checked online with Toyota for recalls and found one for the passenger side airbag. Getting that replaced Saturday. Other than that, its rides strong and I'm very pleased.

Looking for a sequoia due to LC's and LX 450 being costly in my area. Thanks for this valuable information.

Thanks for starting this channel! This video has helped me already, I definitely need new headlights! My ‘04 Sequoia didn’t qualify for an airbag recall due to the mileage , so probably the same for something with the frame. I’ll look forward to learning more about the Sequoia

Thanks for the info ... I'm actually on the lookout for a clean 1st generation Sequoia myself. I figure it'll be good for my winter driving as well as some hauling and camping.

You got a new subscriber. I recently purchased a very well kept(dealer maintained-one owner) ‘02 Sequoia. It has almost 300k miles on it and it runs like a champ! I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos to get more knowledgeable of what I may have to deal with in the future. I do have an immediate question and that is I have a slight wobble when I get it up to about 70 mph. It’s squeaks a little in the front on the driver side. If you could point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it! Thanks again, great video!

We just got a 02 with 113k miles. Amazing condition! Never seen a dirt road in its life I would bet. We used to have a Highlander but need more room for the family so this is our first sequoia and we love it!
