Edgar's wife has been deliberately infected by a parasite. As they head to Athkatla for aid, little do they know what's inside her head and what will happen.

About GM Atank: I've been Dungeon Mastering since High School (over 25 years ago), and in the summer of 2019 began actually painting the miniatures I'd been collecting for all these years (and I have just graduated past the potato level). I truly believe that everyone can do this, if they just gave it a try!
More than just painting however, I wanted to make a TH-cam channel that also focuses on the story behind the subjects to share with D&D and Mini fans alike. That is how paint to life was born!

Bahhahah. You know it's true, but the wound healed in minutes! So that's some wolverine level shit right there.

Super helpful, man. I was really unsure how best to assemble this guy.

Glad you said WHEN you see them in the store. Mine have been on pre-order since late December 2021 and I was promised a release date of 31st January 2022. I still haven't got them yet. Very nice and informative video. We really get a sense of what the frameworks are going to be like. Thank you.

For sure, thank you! Unfortunately this supply chain chaos has effected every industry immensely from huge cost increases and massive delays with container availability and port congestion.
Here's hoping things stabilize sooner than later!
      Thanks for watching.

And I do have to mention that using the saying "No brainer" during an Ilithid build is a no-brainer.

@@GMAtank twice even. Just like in a DnD session: it was all part of the plan.
All sillyness aside, I love the paint job. NMM is a pain in the butt. I tried it for the first time on a sword, and I have got a lot to learn.

Great review of the latest line of minis and tutorial for building/painting.
Yeah, after painting many tiny “medium sized humanoid” minis, I much prefer painting larger monsters. I can’t see me buying these model-building kits for a tiny humanoid. Now, a beholder…
Regarding using shorter pieces of real time video vs. time lapse of the whole construction, it doesn’t matter to me. Real time is better for showing the actual process of painting, but that probably makes video editing longer.
I see you are using a wet palette now. I have yet to make that jump, but my girlfriend has already.
I love the fact that you are up front about your ability and are pushing yourself to improve; that’s what I am trying to do now by painting a commission for a friend. I like it when you use contrast paints to tweak colours and shading on a mini, but trying different techniques with various colours provides an alternative.
You must have watched some Lyla Mev videos, since she is a proponent of high contrast between lights and darks for her mini painting. I’m moving in that direction with my painting, too.
I’ll have to get some plastic cement in addition to the super glue that I already have.
Anyway, I look forward to the next video. I hope you enjoy building and painting the rest of the Frameworks line.

Thanks for watching. Wet palette has always been in my arsenal. Just home made with a Tupperware lid, some wet paper towels and parchment paper!
My next paint job I'm going to do traditionally my way, so we'll see how they shape up. =)

This gives me a great idea for a video. Now let's see if I can get off my lazy but and actually make videos again. Lol I've been slacking. Actually I've been busy 3d printing

That would be awesome Cujo. I have an entirely 3d printed miniature/base diorama I was about to release before Frameworks came along. April likely. =)

Use white ink instead of white scar. White scar is a notoriously bad white paint plus white paints will almost always be splotchy like that out of the airbrush or rattle can, white ink will be silky and only need a little flow improver is any at all.

    • @GMAtank
      @GMAtank  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Awesome! What brand of white ink do you use? When people say inks I always think citadel shades, of which I don't have white.
I have apothecary white contrast paint only atm. Thanks for commenting and helping.

@@GMAtank i use Liquitex, picked it up at Michael’s. You want to use Acylic ink and use little pressure on the trigger to do fine mists to build your layer layer from grey to white in that zenithal arc to the top. You’ll get a beautiful underpainting like a B&W photo or movie.
