It's never "normal" to have pain when reaching across your body. However, sometimes with a biceps repair, they move attachment site of the long head of the biceps tendon, which may affect what you feel when you reach across. Additionally, reaching across the body can pinch the short head of the biceps if the shoulder is gliding forward too much. In either event, let your surgeon and/or PT know about what you're feeling.
@@More4Life thankyou for responding. He did move the tendon and has said that it takes a long time to recover. But it's frustrating. He said to give it a year.
