Remarkable tips. The match audio tip will save me acres of time (I mess up a lot!). A big thank you for all your hard work from Scotland. Hats off to Jen!
OMG you blew my mind with that blade point editing tip. That is going to save me soooo much time and annoyance. Wish I had known that 150 videos ago. Thank you!!!
Custom overlays, social titles, options inside of crossfade. I watch lots of these tutorials from other vendors and usually know most of it... you provided great value to me. Interested in your agency kickstart course, really impressive content Jenn. Thanks! -AW
Fantastic as always. I knew most of them but anyway good reminders! I use the comparison viewer with saved frames to correct while in multicams but your suggestion would make i a hella LOT easier👍🏻
Can't wait to try the audio match. Great video. On another note, the one thing I wish I could do with Final Cut that I can do in Premiere is undock all my panels and spread them out over three screens and save the workspace.
Hi Jenn, great tutorials and thanks to reveal tricks and functions about our FCP! However I’m always in trouble with the “QuickTime gamma shift” in FCP,son when I export a video,if I watch it in TV or a played which is not QuickTime I see corone and contrast shifted. Do you use an external calibrated motor r? Or,do you know a workaround to avoid it? Thanks 🙂
I am using 2 iPhones for by B and C roll, and my main camera is a Sony A7rv. The two iPhones have the same color profile but I need to match it as close as possible to my Sony. When should I color correct and or apply luts? Should I color correct and match each footage first, and then "multicam" it? And then apply the final lut on the multicam? Or color correct and color match each video, apply the lut, and then multicam it?
There are other ways to use Open Clip - First, you get Counter Time, that is, the displayed timecode starts at zero ('Counter Time' comes from when we used machines to play videotape and the machines had a physical counter where the numbers rolled with the playing of the tape. You could zero all the numbers with the push of a button and the counter will count from there). When I have to put graphics on a clip, the client will often use Counter Time to tell you where to place those graphics. That's doable but difficult once that clip is in the timeline. Instead, I just put the graphis into the Open Clip timeline! Easy to do and, when editing, all graphics follow that clip accurately. Hey, move that clip to other locations and the embedded graphics follow! Go further and add lower thirds and most anything you would add to that clip if it were in the timeline, only you'll have a 'package' that's ready for air wherever you place it in the timeline.
Jenn that blade edit tip was priceless. I've got 10 years of FCPX under my belt and you always seem to find something I've overlooked or didn't know. Thank you!!
Whoa! That Match Audio tip is something I will use all the time. Thanks!
Had no clue you could move around the metadata fields like that! Amazing tip!

The tip I liked most was being able to do color grading directly in the browser! I did not know that! Thank you very much!

Thanks for the great tips. Do you think there will be an update for Final Cut Pro soon?
I think so. Maybe within the next couple of months, if I were to guess.
@@JennJagerPro it's a shame why Apple is only developing Logic Pro properly. It's totally state of the art.
Thank you for this tip and tricks 👍🏿
