"Whoosh" effect tip: Change the length of each one so they aren't exactly the same. You can hear it when it's the same. By retiming your "WHOOSH" effects a little different , it won't sound exactly the same each time.
Been working with music FCPX for years. When he started the cathedral stuff I recoiled from my computer! Witchcraft!! Honestly, this would have untold amounts of time over the years.
Second story line and the magnetic attribute... that made me stop and think 'WOW' and then realized I had to go back and watch more because I wasn't paying attention. So good.
The Absolute best and go to channel for anything and everything FCP. Thanks for making such amazing content. Switched to FCP recently and your content has made the switch very smooth. Thanks
These are great! Thanks for sharing! 🎉 I‘ve never thought of retiming music. And using the trim tool is so obvious but I‘ve never utilised it for music. Again, thanks!
To zoom in, I’m using my Pro Zooms plugin! There’s a link in the description. For the keyboard shortcuts, that’s a custom title I built using Apple Motion. But there’s some great Keyboard Shortcut animations inside of MotionVFX’s mTutorial plugin!
Awesome Tips as usual! Even I consider myself as a noob somehow, I usually generate a metronome track with metronomer to help me getting the cuts right without counting, especially on tracks that are not really easy to work with.
I am sure it exists already, but it would be great if there was an AI package that would retime a music track to fit a video (or a specific time) without any timeline editing. I often have to edit my music tracks (I use Artist!) to fit my videos and sometimes my introduced transitions are just a little clunky. I quite often cover up my bad audio editing with a whoosh between video clips and hope the viewer won't notice! Some great tips Dylan which will help me avoid my jarring edits. Very many thanks. Your hard work always appreciated. Great seeing you milking sheep in Poland. You're clearly a man who knows his way around teats!
Yes there is AI that does this! Just not in FCP yet 😭 Premiere Pro actually has a pretty great version, and I am sure there are other versions online. Maybe someday Apple will grace us with such technology. I was raised on a farm with goats! Had some practice before heading off to Poland 😂
throw a millisecond fade on the start and end of a music region when you do a cut to minimize the risk of zero crossing which can cause pops and clicks in the audio track. i think FCP does this under the hood, but better safe than sorry IMO
When you say “sub frame level” do you mean at the sample level? For instance, 48,000 samples per second, or are sub frames less accurate than that? Coming from the audio production world I am finding the lack of precision in video editing to be rather frustrating.
Off the top of my head, I believe there are around 100 subframes you can move to within each frame. I may be wrong on that figure, but it's close to that. So yes less accurate than 48k, but a lot more accurate than only 24 haha!

I've been hanging out with Harry Potter lately!

I use this so much!
Great tips man! Love the idea of retiming the music!
Holy crap I did not know about being able to move audio over in subframes! Thanks man!! 🤘🏼

Always a huge help with great tips, thanks Dylan!
I did the same with compound clips. Didn't know about expanding auto. Love the pitch down! Trim tool at the start - very cool!
Awesome music editing tips bro! Thanks 🙏

Again, so much value here. As a wedding videographer, managing audio is a key and your advice is meaningful!
hellloo! amazing work as always! I got curious about where can I find the shortcut letters icons and which move in plug did you use for this effect?

One day he’ll play the piano that sits silently behind him…I thought today would be the day….but no….
I added the piano using AI. It’s not even real.
& then the live stream was its day to shine!

Ooooh I didn't know about the "option + comma/period" thingy... Dylan you're the best 😎
Thanks Dylan! I picked up several new things from this video. 👍
My goodness, retiming music. That is a game-changer for making highlight sports reels!
How about a tutorial on how you did the intro! Whoa! 🤯

@@TheFinalCutBro at least it’s not 2 or something, thanks :-)
Bro! You are incredible! Thanks again
